Really good video as usual ! I really like what you did here with the paratroopers, makes me want to start using them more. Also, I have one thing to add: Proper Heritage Spirit for the -20% non combat out of supply penalty on core territory (which is the entirety of china lol). + wouldn't it be better to begin with the invite foreign investors focus to get those 2 off-map factories straight away ?

New player here. Played Italy twice, one time including the tutorial and the USSR 3 times after that. Italy I had an ok run after the tutorial. I had my ass absolutely pulverised on the first run of the USSR, put up a slight resistance in second run and held out for quite a while in the 3rd. I see myself having a long relationship with the game and I currently have the game with Waking the tiger or whatever the China dlc was. Does anyone have any DLCs to recommend? I know Man the Guns and NSB are must haves but I'm not ready for them yet. My dumbass just learnt that you had to assign your planes on missions on SPECIFIC regions like the navy so I was constantly losing cuz I never had air superiority despite spending so many mils on aircraft. I thought the circle was basically telling the area of attack and that it auto intercepted after you select type of mission. I guess it made sense when the game showed enemy notifications and that the enemy air mission pulverised my defenses whilst showing I had 0 aircraft despite having like 1.5k fighters in the region.

Nice guide! Good to see other people who just take Infantry Weapons from '36 instead of being stuck on previous one. I usually leave those initial MILLS on their production line (cause efficiency) but put new ones on transport planes (just 1) and Infantry Weapons II. Then once artillery is done I switch Infantry Weapons I into them. I really like starting Communist China with "Invite Foreign Investors tree" to get +25 relations with France before gobbling other warlords. In few patches ago it worked just ideally - even with initial delay you will swap all warlords aside and also by staying neutral at start of the war (Japanese still sends unit to defend ever increasing border with you) there is enough time to gobble up Tibet as well. Then thanks to United Front, you get those sweet extra offmap factories and other French bonuses. Grand Battleplan is also my favourite on Communist China. Only difference is by the time I invade last northern warlord I already have Cavalry division in the making (for the speed). Later 10 width cavalry makes for excellent reaction force. Btw Mass Assault isn't interesting for China for recruitable population purposes. It is for Mass Charge tactic on top of reduced infantry width. Bringing 50% more combat width of your 20% more packed infantry divisions helps. Also supply bonuses.

I don't know if since no step back you can take the delays with the Warlords, a couple of times I tried it and I ended up missing out on Sinkiang 😁

@@hammotimee Did you keep fabricating claims 1 at the time like in video? Cause I was always preparing for 2 wars at once. Tibet still was after war with Japan. Also if you are in war with Sinkiang before United front you are in the clear.

So basically, I shouldn't be aggressive? Sorry but I think I still don't have a good hang of this game. I'm still a beginner basically. Like when I am being attacked, until when should I be on the defensive? I usually see that you need to take in as many points as possible to make your enemies capitulate. But how will you know if it's time to go for the counter offensive? Also, thank you so much for this video. I have tried the pro-Soviet China path. But I don't like being in the Comintern because after the war, the USSR declares war against France right away and if the Comintern loses (which is often a guarantee since democratic countries tend to be overpowered), it might affect me too even if I don't join the war.

you have to grasp a concept here: if you're beeing offensive, you might run over your enemies and that's AWESOME, but if they play defense correctly, you'll lose a lot of manpower and that's one of the most important "resources" in the game.

As Fagner said, you just have to be patient until Japan has over 1m casualties, that will be around the point they'll be out of equipment and all their divisions are weak 😁

@@hammotimee was thinking of doing that. Though I ended up going for the Mass Assault. But I can just restart since I already saved after beating Sinkiang. Also, which of the Grand Battleplan tree is better once it starts to diverge: mechanized offensive or infantry offensive ?
