I am 64 years old, have high BP since I was 45. When I was working, the office clinic used to monitor BP 3x a day bcs I refused to medicate. One time, BP was 150/100 & the doctor asked me to take calcibloc. I asked for 30 mins, took 99%cacao drink & 1 banana for a snack. My BP was down to 120/80, no5 dizzy wc has been the side effect of bp lowering drugs for me. Have taken hot cocoa with little sugar since then I cannot explain ho2 cacao lowers my BP. THANK YOU, now I unders5and.

I really appreciate your style of sharing. Your mouth rinse may not have increased NO, but it is better than traditional. I have my patients chew mint leaves or oregano leaves or basil leaves, then swallow or rinse with water. I don’t know if NO will be increased, but…… at least we are not destroying the bacteria to convert nitrate to nitrite, with traditional mouthwashes. Thanks for such excellence. By the way… I have been a dentist for 44 years, and first learning all about NO.

actually started just today a cup of warm cocoa with a pinch or cayenne pepper and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon. What would be really great is for people who have added Cocoa to their diets, some time ago to come tell us today what they have found in changes ? Too many of us find what we are looking for and fail to report back later what changes they seen or felt. I am included in that group, but maybe I can start a change in myself with this comment that might help others do the same. Thanks for sharing.

Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices.

You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health. Lower stress, reduce obesity and more exercise are key to a healthy life. Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world. Fast food and sugary drinks are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity. Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly. Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer. Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game. A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun. Every city should be a bicycle city. Speak up for bicycles in your community
