Glad you returned to windhoek When you told roofbar i was sure you tried the hilton's skybar cause its the best around While i was in windhoek the garden inn wasnt open yet , as you are a UA member , i assume you also have your favourite hotel chain , and in africa i recommend radisson hotels About the village you should also go in the evening its packed with people and atmosphere is really nice , my favourite restaurant there is goodfellas The district where you've been for shopping , called Kleine Kuppe , is ok but without a car you cant do much About katatura , i am glad you went to market to have kapana , for bix i wasnt aware of this place cause i went to market on early afternoon during weekdays , so i will check next time Next time in windhoek , friday/saturday nights you should try "roof of africa" , although some might say its poshy , mileage may vary as usual , and joe's beerhouse (few blocks from taste) For brunches you should try utopia , on weekends there is a band playing live chill music For more adventure night life you can try an area near the katatura market , its a street with bars/clubs i forgot the name, but i do recommend you to go with locals , use taxis and beware of your belongings And as a souvenir , you can buy biltong , its sold everywhere , even prepared in bags so you can easily bring some to the US If you stay longer i recommend visiting walvis bay + swakopmund (can be done by road) and then by plane to luderitz (thats where kolmanskope is) + ondangwa (for etosha national park)
