Scooby fan and collector here! I’ve actually spoken to you on Instagram before about Scooby. You got an absolutely AMAZING deal on that book! It’s a great issue that adapts the episode “A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts” from the original Where Are You? series. Thanks for showing Scooby some love!

I love those $3 and $5 bins. And I have to force myself to be picky. Sometimes what makes them end up in those bins is a clipped out coupon, or a tear that does not show until you take it out of the book. Stull fun finds.

I love picking up Scooby Doo comics whenever I can. The Gold Key stuff can be pricey when you see it at shows, but you can sometimes find lower grade copies in stores like you did for a decent price, so that was a nice grab. I was actually yelling at the screen for you to grab that book when you pulled it out of the box before you added it to your pile. Another fun video from you, and I like the balance between footage of the hunts (I like seeing what's in the boxes even if you don't grab it, as I am more of a DC/indy and sword & sorcery guy than you) and your overviews of what you got (I also like you give some institutional knowledge and context about the books you get. My favorite grab was the Showcase featuring Nightmaster, I have all 3 of those books, and love them. I am a big Kubert guy so thus were must haves for me. Hope you and yours have a great holiday.

I can watch comic box flicking all day long. Love it. However if they are not bagged, my brain goes "ouch" on every flick. Touch of OCD maybe Mike, I think you may be,slightly evolving from a Marvel fan boy into a DC crumbly. Come on over, the water is fine! Great picks, that comic store looks awesome. I am Hulk green with envy. Can't believe you skipped past those 70's horrors and a Millie the Model. Great vid geezer. Keep on truckin'

Stan Lee must have had nightmares trying to come up with names for all those monster shorts in the anthology titles like the pre-superhero Strange Tales. Or maybe the names came from his nightmares - Vandoom, Oomgah, Grottu and Dragoom just worked so well in those tales. World's Finest sure had some whacky stories. I highly recommend Showcase #83 and 84 for the art: Bernie Wrightson on pencils and Wrightson, Jeff Jones and Mike Kaluta on inks. What a team!

Just the fact that you have old 70s and 80s unbagged comics still is so crazy. Basically everything is accounted for here in Canada. There are no hidden gems anywhere like that anymore.
@robertt9342Ай бұрын
There are still finds like this in Canada, but it’s extremely common in the north east US. It’s a product of a large slow growing population and a contracting market interest.

if you want to read some crazy insane SuperSONS books - try the late 1960's Worlds Finest when Clark JR & Bruce JR are teenagers trying to rebel against their parents - so much like their fathers that their faces look very similar and their costumes are duplicates - what I assume was 2 middle age white guys writing about teens agers in the 1960s - crazy stuff in deed.
