Nice find on the comic books; when I sometimes buy them, I recommend you inspect them insides the pages, some have wear or torn small pieces on the pages inside them; just giving you a heads up to be aware of...I hope they are comic book pages are complete and not torn paper pieces.

Hi Rod. Just curious - I notice that when you look at the video games, you open the case to make sure it’s in there, but don’t look at the back of it. Is that edited out, or do you have a way of smoothing out scratches if you find them later? I’m wondering because I have turned down buying some because I thought they were damaged with the scratches therefore not worth reselling.
@pickingandpunching6 күн бұрын
That’s a great question. Yea, I do edit that footage out. It takes time and it doesn’t really add extra value to the videos. I do have a disc cleaner that helps clean disc as well. I’m ok buying scratched disc. I have a machine that buffs them out. I just stay away from deep scratches.

I dont know whats worse, not finding a lot of items, or missing out on good items. Went to multiple sales today and each one came by just a minute or 2 too late. Missed out on gamecubes, nintendos, snes, dreamcast, digital cameras, xboxs, segas, ps4s, n64 etc. All went for cheap, like 10 bucks a system which includes controllers and games. I think thats more frustrating then not finding much.
@pickingandpunching8 күн бұрын
The worst is when you don't find anything and miss out on items the same day. Its a double whammy. I had those days where I was 5 mins late multiple times in the same day. Twice to the same person.....ugh.

The guy obviously had no clue about comics. You can already see how he stores his #1 treasure. G.I. Joe #1 I would rather see at around 200$. His $500 is of course completely ridiculous. But nice lot for 20$.
@pickingandpunching8 күн бұрын
It was a nice lot for $20. They weren't in the best condition. The comic market can move up and down pretty fast sometimes. People also don't fully understand how much condition plays into the price of comics. I sure he saw it was $500 somewhere and that number is just stuck in his head. He was a super nice guy and I was glad that we could make a deal.
@wtf1068 күн бұрын
@@pickingandpunching This is exactly how price estimates are likely to happen. And the little treasures they have are completely forgotten. I saw the G.I. Joe #1 I have lying around at 100$ 3 years ago. I bought the series 1-100 for 90$. Nice to see that prices are going up here. Everyone always jumps on Marvel or DC, but money can be found in many other publishers like Avatar, Dark Horse, Innovation, Dynamite, Fantagraphics, Verotik, WildStorm, Topps (check out the Jurassic Park Series).... I like to buy lots, especially “independent” ones and learn where money can be found. Even better are “underground” lots. Very few people expect large value there.

Depends on the day. Sometimes it’s half of that sometimes it could be double that. Just depends on how many community sales we go to.
