Videos of Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle always make me emotional and tearful! Man's inhumanity to man! May the souls of all the captives who were enslaved and those who died in transit and in captivity rest in peace! 🙏🏽😢✝️
@kelvinquartey88873 жыл бұрын
I've been to both cape coast and elmina castle and no experience in my life will ever top that. It's so disheartening to imagine the pain and torture our ancestors faced. At elmina castle you can still smell the blood, faecal matter and body discharge in the female dungeon. The church located right on top of the male slave dungeon will never sit well with me! May our ancestors rest in peace.

understand these human beings were NOT slaves.... these were captured men, women and children sent on these ships to become slaves... remember there were millions of Africans that said give me freedom or give me dealth, and chose to die by self-inflicted injuries... No we were not slaves until we came to these Godforsaken European countries... in the belly of the beast

Hello Dave, So proud you tried our Ghanaian dishes but the fufu, the Tour Guide should have showed you how to cut the fufu at the edge between your pinky and the middle finger, dip it in the soup and swallow. It is one of our favourite and popular foods and we really want to promote it worldwide. Please try it again if you yet to go to Kumasi. The weather is hot so let the food cool down a little bit.

Have you watched the movies about African slavery? The movie titles are "Roots"= it shows about the family history where they came from, this is a story of an African slave who was captured in the Gambia by British slave traders in the 1600's and was able to thrive despite being oppressed in America, and got married with a fellow slave and made a family, from generation to generation, and " Amistad" a story where African slaves revolted but later captured and imprisoned, by the way "Amistad" is the name of the ship where they were carried and brought to the Carribean and America, it also means "friendship" in Portuguese

Good job David. I give you two thumbs up. This Will help people to value their freedom and to appreciate the people who fight for them to get freedom ( presidents, Pastors, army officers etc) But David....next time you can eat fufu with a spoon too. That is also allowed. And the real reason why we eat fufu hot is because it brings out the spices or flavours better. But it's not a must to eat it hot. It's optional. I don't know why they didn't tell you that. But you did a great job. Kudos🥂🇬🇭

David they were not slaves who didn't understand that they were slaves. They were men and women who were being condemned to slavery, they knew their worth and knew their lives of freedom. You keep referring to them as slaves they were Africans who had been captured and were going to be condemned to slavery. You really have to pay attention to what you say...

Your tour guide should have told you how to eat from separate bowls just in case it was too hot,it wasn't the right way to serve in one bowl when it's hot,my dad won't do that,and obviously I won't either ;next time ask for separate bowls ONE FOR SOUP AND ONE FUFU makes it a lot easier when not use to Ghanaian dish like that
@ericdako52893 жыл бұрын
please, teachdavid how to eat the fufu, for example, the pounding is done the chewing for you , you take a mouth size scoop soup then swallow then you eat the meat seperately but it seems they rather enjoying what they have on their plate, not right, do you the viewers agree? and he keeps on chewing the doe.
@rainbow36493 жыл бұрын
Hm. Eric, that's what frustrated me. All his stops, as soon as he says he's hungry, they get so excited becos they are going to kill free fufu with however much meat they want today, so no one was paying attention to whatever is happening with David as soon as the food comes! So ridiculous! All they fed him was fufu, and one time kenley,. What about some sweet pona yam and spinach, or a little rice and stew or something. Even if he wants fufu all the time, just introduce him to something else. As if that's all we eat it Ghana. The guy is complaining continuously that his soup was too hit, and they told him that, that's how we eat it always. What?? No matter where u are from, everyone knows that u cant enjoy any meal that much, if it's too burning hot, but yet, they are telling him that, that's how we eat it. He went to Ghana during the hot and humid season too, with all this hot pepper and scorching burning soup all the time. Then they always watched him chew a combination of meat or fish, mixed with fufu and chew it. Everyone is a tour guide in Ghana now! Hmm. Eiiii
@afuantumi27683 жыл бұрын
