It is so interesting to see the difference in the children as it relates to the parenting skills and styles of the children's parents. Gaines is so verbal and smart. She is being taught manners and how to treat others even though she is so young. It is evident that her parents are invested in teaching her things rather than having an IPad shoved in her face all day with relentless movie watching. She is very intelligent and has toys that encourage imagination and creativity rather than endless electronics that don't require much thinking. Even though she is a female, she is not encouraged to behave aggressively with play guns and weapons. She is learning to be social and play with others without hitting and is able to share her toys. She is corrected when appropriate and is offered loving guidance. It is too bad that the families live so far apart, as she would be a great influence on the other children.
