Absolutely epic day on the Yellowstone... Bea-u-ti-ful!✨
@TheoKellison4 жыл бұрын
Marlaina!😄 it was an awesome day for sure! Hard to have a bad day when you're out with Kate👍 it was definitely fully appreciated too, because it is probably my last agate hunt of the season; we are experiencing 8 inches of snow in MT and it's gonna keep snowing for two weeks😑 It was pretty much our last nice weather day of the season

HAHA, i watched this on double speed - try it for the first part where we're talking to each other. It's hilarious! :) Nice finds, Theo. I'm still jealous. :D

It is! Especially this late in the season; our nice days are potentially behind us now(we have 2 weeks of snow in MT in the forecast, and we're already at 8 inches) so i was trulting to enjoy every minute of hounding i could get!😅

WOW! 89 pounds of superior beauty! Favorite line -- Alexis : "You think he'd learn...." This was one of the best trips to find high-grade stones. You outdid yourself, Theo.

She kept tryingng to tip me over the whole walk back!🤣 it was an awesome day for sure! And i am soooo happy i decided to load up, because we are getting an absurd amount of snow in MT so our season might be over unfortunately😅 hoping it warms back up again one more time before the snow sticks

I LOVE your (and Kate's) enthusiasm when you find a special piece. I am impressed right along with you! I'm a big fan of petrified wood. The thought of a tree turning into stone over millions of years is just fascinating to me. Here in Oklahoma we've got the country's oldest (375 MILLION years) to the youngest ("only" 15 million) petrified wood -- it's just mind-boggling to me, hard to even comprehend that amount of time. Yet another wonder of Nature. Makes our little stays here on earth seem rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things, doesn't it? You had some truly magnificent finds in this one. This was a real joy to watch. Thanks for sharing!

Those finds are incredible! That black agate is so unique, almost looks like botryoidal hematite. That green jasper is awesome too. Same with the agatized wood, I love chunks that glow in the light
@TheoKellison4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that dark one is something special; we get really dark MT agates occasionally but that one is insanely dark for a MT agate! It does let a little light through, just hardly any. I was super excited about the green jasper; they are EXTREMELY uncommon on the yellowstone👍 thanks for watching, my friend!

Glad to see you found an entire car load of awesome rocks on this trip! I could tell you were very excited, that looked like an epic day! The addiction is real! I too suffer from agate addiction Theo..... the only cure ive found, is MORE agates lol. That is the ONLY cure haha. Im pretty sure you have enough agates/jasper/pet wood to pave your driveway with if you wanted too. That would actually be kind of cool looking!
@mitchgillilan4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for all the great close ups at the end, you really did find so many TOP SHELF pieces on this trip. Way too many for me to even comment on, but all the ones you showed I really love each one!!! I have never hauled a pack with over 80 pounds in it, but man I bet that was tiring!!! It was funny because you looked like you were gonna fall over a few times! but now I see why you did it, because you had so much great treasure!!! :)

So much agates and they are big! Amazing and beautiful! Great video! On my last rock hounding trip I was trying to find some amber but the sea didn't give any. But I found some amazing fossils and geodes. Chain coral is common here.

What I do is I go rock hounding then I come home clean and wash them then I go through through them again thoroughly and be very picky. The ones i do not want i either throw back outside so people can find them or I give them 2 family members.🙃😉😊👍👌

One of the reasons i keep stocking up on agates! I listed them in my store and sold almost all of them within a month😳 trying to build my stock back up before i re-list them so i have enough supply to meet demand
