Incredible Emerald Lake: Rocky Mountains Landscape Photography

Emerald Lake was definitely one of the places that captured me on my landscape photography trip to the Rockies. The snow covered mountains and pines reflecting in the glassy emerald water was almost unreal! Enchanting, peacefully quiet and incredibly beautiful… I could have stayed there and never left. Come and see. Bring your camera. I talk compositions and settings when I’m not gaping in absolute wonder and joy!

Hi Rachel, fantastic pictures. I noticed that you have minimal amount of equipment with you. It proves that you don't needs tons of gear. All you need is to be able to "see". I was also in the Rockies in October, in British Columbia, and as you have found out , 3 days is not long enough. In fact, a lifetime may not be enough. Keep up the great work.

I can see why it is called Emerald Lake, It looks really nice, I can imagine how exhilirated you must have felt, whilst every image is different but very beautiful, I felt the one at 08:32 was my overall favourite, almost 3D with its foreground and background, it would make a perfect calendar shot, Recently I decided to restart my youtube channel once again, not many videos to date, but mainly Railways and Wildlife, when I look at the presentation and fine editing of your videos I cringe, How on earth will I ever rise to such good footage, following a works accident in 2011, I was left with only 5 degrees of rotation in my left shoulder cuff, which makes using my left arm difficult, and Asthma and COPD affect my walking too far, so you see I'm not really able to walk that far, thats probably why I love your Landscape photography so much, it reminds me of when i was younger, I spent over 23 years in my local walking club and travelled pretty much everywhere in the UK, from 1984-1999 I was a volunteer birder at my local nature reserve, been a birder since 1979 and still going strong, I am slowly watching all your videos along with Tims and others and to me they are not just 'Pretty pictures' but a window into your world, a relaxing world , thanks for sharing as always Mike slows my walking down some

@@RachelLerch I take pictures with an APSC camera (A6000) and learn to use my camera to find the right image settings. I am limited in particular at night shots but I think I can improve myself there a bit. Thank you for bringing us into your dreamlike world because Canada is such a great country. Last year I was allowed to travel the East for 5 weeks and probably saw 1-2 percent of this country. Thanks for your description of the impressions it makes the whole thing so personal.
