INCREDIBLE! Ex Metal Elitist Reacts to Tommy Johansson and Chris Davidsson "Murder in the Skies"

This song was written by Gary Moore about the Korean Airlines flight 007 which was shot down by Soviet Union on 9/1/1983 after allegedly entering their air space, all 269 passengers have died. Tommy released this cover on 40th anniversary of that event ( he says it's a coincidence, it wasn't planned that way) and the guitar in the video is the guitar previously owned by Gary Moore himself. Tommy managed to buy a guitar that used to belong to his greatest musical idol, which he never considered possible. Chris Davidsson is ( besides Wizdoom) a bassist in Tommy's band Majestica and they have been singing together for over 10 years, they voices really complement each other

Yes it's Chris from Wizdoom. Great cover by them both to one of my favourite Gary Moore songs from his metal era. And the fact that he plays this on one of Gary's guitars makes it even more epic.

Before Christmas you need to listen to the concept album of Majestica, based on A Christmas Carol by Dickens. Tommy has taken the foundation of the Dickens lyrics and put them to music out of old carols that he has rearranged and metalized. Tommy singing the part of Ebenezer Scrooge and Chris as the Ghost of Marley. Most of the songs have their own musical videos and much of the art in there comes from Tommy. There are a few with only audio but the whole extended album is a must listen.

That was brilliant! Chris is in Tommy’s band Majestica and they are both great vocalists and guitar- and bassplayers. So nice to see Tommy with the new guitar which is one of Gary Moore’s guitars which he bought in Australia some time ago! Gary Moore who made Tommy start playing guitar at nine when he saw a video with Gary playing🎼🎸

I can't tell you the love I have for Gary Moore as a Guitarist.. Man I almost forgot I actually got to see Gary Moore about 20 years ago I was so excited in a state of euphoria the poor man beside me had his hand crushed by me cos I needed to know it was real not dreaming 😂😂 he got his hand back at the end 😉.. Really enjoyed this thank you ❤

Joakim has also said that Tommy is a better singer than him, but that Joakim himself is the best singer for Sabaton. I mean, just compare the Sabaton version of Christmas truce, where Joakim displays the anger and frustration over the war, whilst Tommy's solo version is sad and lamenting. They evoke different feelings.
