And as I said under your video with the treasure chest containing the box from this video, there are no useless little things or components for me. I would cherish and care for them just as much as you do❤️❤️❤️! However, I have to admit that I am really envious of you in the USA. Here in Germany, we don't have a real thrifting culture! We don't have anything like Goodwill or official estate sales, for example! Charity stores are rather small here and almost always concentrate on clothing and household goods👚👖👠! If there is jewelry, it is usually overpriced and mainly contemporary💎! There are no jewelry glasses or bags here at all (not even online). Of course, I can only speak for my area (I live near Hanover)! But since discovering your channel, I've started looking for promising stores in other cities to make trips to later🔎🚗! But honestly, I don't think I can find anywhere near as great pieces here in Germany as you always do through your incredible expertise! 🥰 Pieces of jewelry like the ones you've found can usually only be found in real antique stores for a lot of money💰! I often try my luck with private classified ads, but as you also mentioned in a video, it is difficult for me as a layman to judge from pictures what kind of jewelry I have in front of me😩! By the way: The only thing where thrifting in Germany is similar are flea markets! But even there, in Germany, it very much depends on where you are🌍! I would also like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your last comment! ♥️ You wouldn't believe how pleased I was that you like my very long messages! I was afraid that I might annoy you with it! 😱 I'm also quite a chatterbox in person and love to have in-depth discussions about things that interest me🧐♥️! I love acquiring new knowledge through shared conversations! If I would met you, for example, I would seize the huge opportunity and sit in front of you 24 hours a day with a notebook, soak up your knowledge, ask questions, try to understand and learn, learn, learn📕🖋️! Unfortunately, I don't always fit in with my surroundings when it comes to this trait! I was even bullied at school because of this trait, and not just a little🥲! But that hasn't stopped me from continuing to go through life with open eyes and curiosity! Nothing like getting my hands dirty through junk boxes with Jason! The Egyptian revival pendant-necklace is German made (crown and crescent moon hallmark is Germany post 1888), its a shame it doesnt have any other symbols, so you can narrow down the maker as its a nice piece!

So, I used to go to an "junk/antique shop in downtown Savannah, Georgia. He would buy estate sales. He would pick out the good stuff and then drop the costume, broken pieces, and odd items on this big deep table with 6" sides. We would go and dig to the bottom where the heavy lead crystal, some gold finding as well as broken clip earrings would reside. we would leave with two fist full of beads and such for say $20.00 (his constant price to us). I have boxes of drops that I incorporated in my creations. When the store closed, we went in to see them, and she presented me with cut stones, faceted for jewelry. And as of today, I still have them.

Our pawn shops no longer sell or have any special old items jewelry to buy. Was told by one shop today when I asked why there’s hardly any jewelry anymore, they destroy most everything as scrap. So sad to think of all the antique jewelry that ended up at pawn shops destroyed forever just for the gold or silver

I have a question. I have ring my dad bought my mom from a garage sale in the late 60s.it's a black oval stone with white stones surrounding it the sterling silver ring shank has carved flowers all the way around it . I have yet to find one similar . Any ballpark idea what era it might be? I know that's hard without pictures but when did they make the rings like that?!!
