I was there last year. You did get the better campground. The campsites near the entrance are 3 miles from any recreation spots and traffic on the narrow road is crazy. The traffic sounds from the highway was distracting too. I'll be sure to reserve at Big Flats next visit. Thanks for sharing.

When I was there in 2010, I went hiking, and I did the canopy walk. I also took the airboat tour. That place is chalk full of gators. They’re everywhere! There’s nice Bald Eagles there as well. Nice video!

We live a short drive north of that park and it’s our favorite. It completely transforms in the summer, especially August/September. Water levels are higher gators are out in full force. Cannot emphasize how beautiful the park and there’s a lot to enjoy.

It's such a beautiful place. I'd imagine it'd be super hot and buggy in summer no?
@MattLesak2 жыл бұрын
@@EatSeeRV oh yeah but you can manage around it. We have a Class A and go to the full hookup site so we can run AC. Key is getting up early and getting out. After 2pm, summer rains kick in. Bugs aren’t any worse than what you experienced. Since you’ve been during the winter, you would be shocked how different it is later in the summer.

Great video as always! I also have the same scooter as well as an Smax for my wife and two Lectric bikes. Purchased an Aluma 7710 all aluminum trailer this past year that tows really nice. Added a nice size diamond plate utility box in the front and two wheel chocks for the scooters. It carries all the toys plus lots of room in the utility box. Easy to maneuver once unhooked too. If we choose to use the scooters we tow the trailer, if we just want to take the bikes we pull a Jeep Liberty that also has the Lectric bikes folded in totes inside the back cargo area.

That Star park looked very nice. Great video Liz and Dennis. Nice to that you met up with your aunt and uncle and went camping with them. Wow! Those were ant bites. Do they hurt or itch? They look like mosquito bites. Nice ebikes. Did you find a better place for the bikes? Where you put them looked good for now. You’ll be able to come up with a place for them. It will all work out. Hope you have a great day and week and see you soon!

We just figured out our electric bike storage dilemma with our Winnebago 24j. After carefully measuring, I ordered two Jupiter 20” X7 folding electric bikes. I also ordered bags for them. One bike, upon folding and taking off the seat, I’m able to get through the exterior cargo door that goes under the bed. It’s tight getting it through the door opening, but once in, there’s plenty of room. The 2nd bike folded and in its bag travels in the shower (I got a piece of foam rubber for added protection of the shower space). Once at a camp site, when we need the shower, I move the bike bag by the front coach seats since we don’t use that space when stationary. I really wanted to avoid a bike rack and having them outside, except when in use. So far so good.
@EatSeeRV2 жыл бұрын
That's a great tip! Thanks! We use the shower for the cats liter box so we may have to get creative people have suggested boxes but I don't think those bins will work with our storage space. We'll see...

We just returned from a trip to Myakka so probably just missed you. It is one of our favorite places to visit in Florida. My family used to bring me there when I was a kid in the 1950s and 1960s. Unlike much of Florida, this has not changed since then, although the development is starting to sprawl out from Sarasota toward the park. Lovely video and nice to see you guys again.

Haha I'm glad you enjoyed it! All was safe. It'd be extremely rare behavior for the alligator to lung at a grown human like that. Small dogs or children by the shore are another story. But not an adult my size.

Another beautiful video. I do have a question though. It seems like people can be very close to alligators. I thought they were not safe to be close to?😬
@EatSeeRV2 жыл бұрын
Everyone kept feet distance from the alligators. Alligators can snap from the shore or where they're standing but normally at small things (children, pets, etc). It's extremely unlikely they would attack an adult near the shore. Keeping your distance is good but 4 to 6 ft is enough distance.

@@EatSeeRV Your video was a delight. Please don't take my comment too seriously but do be extremely careful around gators. They are ambush predators and extremely fast especially when they are guarding a nest of eggs. Be very careful fishing near the water. The eggs also attract other wildlife that you will want to avoid like big reptiles. Don't take your pets to the waters edge with you either. Gators are at the top of the food chain. Please know that the park in the review looks amazing and the video was qreat. I just don't want to see anything happen to a good and kind soul like yourself. Take care and be safe out there when traveling. Much respect.

Ah I see, I'm okay. I'm a native Floridian this is hardly my first time around gators. I was much farther from the edge than it may have seemed. Thanks for showing concern and sharing helpful tips for others. But all is well.

I admire what you are doing but use less talking head shots. watching people talk, especially in close-ups, is just not interesting at all. Use many, many more cutaways and move towards more of a voice-over format. Everyone likes to see their own face but viewers get bored of that real quick.
