Hey Rich, cool overview of our collection. I have personally restored all the Mustangs and Shelby‘s that you featured in the video. The 1968 Tasca GT Cobra Jet Fastback is the finest restoration in the collection. It’s just over the top perfect and nearly flawless. Unfortunately it’s only been shown in public once. The 1970 ranchero actually has a 351 Cleveland in it not a 429. But extremely original only 50,000 miles. An interesting fact about the 1967 Shelby GT500 is that it’s 1 of 4 export Shelby’s sent to Spain. It was featured in the Madrid auto show in 1967. The Boss 429 restoration took us almost 5 years. By far the longest of the restorations but the results I think speak for themselves.

Dude, I grew up hating Mustangs. However, when I was 19 I worked at Disney World in FL at MGM Studios and on break one day, I went into a parking garage in the back and saw my first beautiful old school Mustang that made me fall in love with them. It was a yellow (can't stand yellow cars but it was still nice) 71-73 Mach I. I was awestruck. I now love the 67 Shelby, the 68 GT, the 69 Boss, the 70 boss and Mach I and the 71-73 mach I's. One day I plan to have one of each of those. Still no idea how I'll do it, but I'll find a way. Amazing collection you got there and I really like the GT40 as well. Those that came out in the mid 2000's are beautiful. I don't like the newest ones, but the mid 2000's version looks so true to its original counterpart. Congrats on tour collection and one day, maybe this guy will show my collection once it has been amassed. It won't be as nice as your's though, but it's gonna be nice anyhow!
@MustangConnection15 жыл бұрын
Well it sounds like you are have the passion for the cars Eric, if you want it bad enough a collection like this is possible. The owner of this collection is a super cool individual and has been on a mission to amass his favorites for a long time. You can easily start your collection by picking the one easiest to obtain first-71-3 Mach 1's would be a good option. Thanks for watching and commenting, hope you are subbed and spreading the word.

My Dad had the same 67 Shelby GT500 stripe delete car. Could be his car. The inboard headlights denote a early production run because they moved them to the outside later in the year. I remember playing with my hot wheels in the back with the seat folded down. I’d love to know if the current owner has the history of ownership. First owner would be Gary Hodson who is my Uncle. My Dad purchased the car from him within the first year. Great memories.

Yes the music totally sucks and ruins a great video! Not only is the choice of music horrible but the volume is way too overpowering and distracting. I don't know why everyone has to ruin a video by adding obnoxious background music.

Really interesting video though. How do you hunt down these crazy people! Is that the overly priced BOSS9 that was recently featured on your channel with all the spray marks and all that detail reproduced? Thanks and keep them coming for 2017!!! Lucky dog to be in the middle of that shop!!! I actually mean the dog. You don't see that often! Pete :")

Thanks on the video feedback. The owner of these cars is a perfectionist and a life long collector. That is how he amassed this incredible collection. I met him because he bought an SCJ 1970 Cobra Torino we had, videos on the channel. He does a lot of the work himself and yes this is now a very valuable collection. He is very humble and cool about the collection but make no mistake he is serious about having and creating nothing but the best. Gotta respect someone like that.

No begrudging from my side!!! I just think it's too much! I like some of the cars. It's his passion. I get it. Pete :")
@erictalkington56745 жыл бұрын
@@alwayspete I'll tell you right now, if I had a ton of money, this is what I'd have if I could find them all. I wouldn't ever spend tons of money on any car except old muscle cars. I'd never own a BMW or a Benz or Rolls Royce or any other luxory car but I'd own as many old muscle cars as I possibly could. Though mine would be meant to drive. I know some people want to keep them in great shape which I can't blame them, but I want old Mustangs to drive around on nice days. I'd be more than happy to have a collection like this. I know to some it may seem crazy, but this guy has true love for his cars. Some people can claim to love something, but this definitely shows it. I understand what you're saying though, but once I make a bunch of money I'm going to buy as many old Mustangs as I can.
@mrh30857 жыл бұрын
My Dad had the very same 67 Shelby GT500. It was a stripe delete car like this one and also had the inboard lights which meant it was an early production car. Ford moved the lights outward later that year because of some cooling issues. If the current owner has the previous buyer history (I’m sure he does) I’d love to find out if it’s the same car. The first owner would’ve been my uncle. Last name Hodson and her purchased the car in Kansas City. Great video!

@MustangConnection18 жыл бұрын
It is on a rotisserie awaiting paint. He has another location near by where the mechanical and assembly happen.
@wsu07028 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing this Rich. As an avid Ford high performance car fanatic like yourself I really enjoyed watching this. I was trying to figure out which was the rarest car in the collection and was torn between the SCJ twister mustang and the 429CJ Ranchero. I know that there were only 24 428SCJ 4spd twister cars produced but was not sure about the rarity of the Ranchero. Did it have a 429SCJ? If not I did find out that there were only 24 429CJ 4spd Rancheros built (according to an auction site).
@MustangConnection18 жыл бұрын
Hey Jeff, It is hard to say what the actual rarest car he owns would be, there are more under restoration and in storage not show in the video. He is a true connoisseur of the Ford Mustang and Ford Muscle Car genre in general. I am not sure if the Ranchero was an SCJ, but I don't recall the specifics on that one.

The High School I went to had a identical 69 Shelby convertible 500 in the Auto Shop ,only had 100 original miles Ford donated it , sadly they had to crush it when they shut down the Auto Shop classes.
@MustangConnection18 жыл бұрын
Oh man they crushed a rare on for sure. I bet it was left over inventory as I don't think they sold all that well in '69, too expensive even then.
@231flash8 жыл бұрын
Not sure if it was left over inventory or what. All I remember was Ford donated it to the High School. It was not far from Detroit , most of the parents worked for one of the Big 3 and most kids drove some kind of "company car" to school.
