Maybe you should do a throwback day. Like once a week.. Call it throwback Thursday.. Or even once a month. Where you use oldies you love and enjoy. So you are still using older items.. But new ones on different days. Because personally i love a mix of both old products and new. And i enjoy limited edition stuff too. People get limited edition items then never use them again.

I think a fun and useful video idea would be "how to make your fails work like holy grails". There are so many times we try new makeup and it ends up being too light, too dark, too sheer, too pigmented, cakey, patchy... On and on! But it's so nice to figure out a way to solve the problem and make the product work! Like mixing a cakey foundation with a drop of facial oil or tinted moisturiser, using a subtle highlighter as a finishing powder, or how to apply a too pigmented bronzer, blush... You've already got a great solution you've been mentioning lately for mascara that flakes with your little black primer! :) That type of thing! A lot of us don't have money to keep trying new things when others don't work out just right! 💖

I bought that Laura Gellar powder foundation the day Allie put up her video and I would trade the last 15 foundations just to keep my new LG in medium!!!! I am 53 and even though I do not have many wrinkles I was still shocked at how smooth and perfect my skin looks with this foundation. I do not see myself grabbing anything else for quite awhile........I LOVE IT!!!!

I definitely have come around to using the 'fancy' stuff in my collection (and by that I mean just slightly higher end) this year. I found myself saving things for special occasions or a higher end face palette specifically to travel with instead of using on everyday occasions. But this year I've started using them consistently and trying to pan them since I'd rather use them up and get my money's worth. Just had to switch my perspective.

On the note of using the good stuff, I watched a TedTalk the other day by Gillian Dunn called 'Change your Closet, Change your Life', and she made a point that we shouldn't be afraid to use our 'nice things'. Because if we don't, they'll waste away in storage w/o ever being enjoyed like they were intended to be.

With a 16 year old daughter and preparing for back to school would love a profusion must haves since you have quite a few. We both love the profusion mauves. She’s leaning towards preferring cream shadows and I have a decent amount for her to experiment with when she’s feeling like it but find profusion good for beginners and budget.

I love rediscovering things I haven't used in a while. I'm really enjoying topping the easy matte neutral eyeshadow look with a little bit of a contrasting metallic or shimmer, like a pop of green or coral pink, etc. Also, not a rediscovery but a new discovery: I like that new Essence Lash Princess mascara with the hourglass shaped brush over the Wet 'N Wild Big Poppa mascara. They do great things together!

I have that Patrick Ta blush in that color. My skin is fair, with a neutral but pulls toward cool undertone, lady of a certain age, and you know what? That blush color is the perfect bronzer color for me. It looks exactly like how the sun would give me color, I just love it for that purpose. I find a lot of actual bronzers just look too orange, and too harsh for my skin color and age. At first when I got it, I thought no way this color is the wrong blush color for me, but I'm glad I thought to try it out as a bronzer. Perfect 😀😀😀. I just loved this video, it's great to see someone get excited about stuff they already have and excited to retry some great products.

I completely agree with you about thinking that one palette only serves one purpose or one type of look! I just used the subculture palette to do a really soft peachy look, when normally in my head I reserve that for only a fall look or a grungy look. Being creative with how we use palettes is half of the fun! 🤩✨

oh man the believe beauty 'nearly nude' palette is the palette the visually pulls me in Instantly! To me it is the perfect selection because of the 2 warm neutrals, bright inner corner shade, and fun purple twist for special occasions. So many other palettes have too many chalky white shades or insanely dark shades that I will never use but the matte light yellow could be a setting powder and the dark red could be a blush. It seems like the most versatile palette that I could get a lot of steps out of thus lots of value for money! Emily I would love to see you try to use shadows for more face steps such as bronzer or blush. I think most palettes have good blush type shades, bronzer might be harder to come by but some palettes also have setting powder type color. Just a thought for experimentation. It definitely increases the value for money on palettes.

Hey Em, Ive just come away to take my dad home, he lost his fiance and broke his femur all in one month and I've been taking care of him for 3 months. This is great content! That Will Powder palette is sooo good!!!! The Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, Clover Palette, and Chocolate Bar Paleette are palettes I fall in love with all over again each time I pull them out! I do still love my UD Naked 3 in winter months, and I love my Naked and Naked 2 palettes when I pair them with my UD Ultimate Naked Basics palette, to use in place of Buck. I really dislike that shade, lol... but I just love those. And some of those Metallics in the naked 2 are still SO good!
