I remember my daughter’s first day in pre-k went very well I was so surprised she didn’t cry .. well I was getting her ready for bed telling her she needed her rest for school tomorrow and she gasped and said “ you mean I have to go again tomorrow 😙lol I laughed and said yes you will be going to school for the next 15 years .. she thought it was a one day deal how sweet 😊I remind her all the time now that she is a MS and Neurospinal Disease Researcher and how she ended up loving school and especially science so much ..those memories stay in your heart always ❤️

My 11 year old son is on the spectrum, he’s getting ready to go back and start 5th grade at the end of this month... I told him he only had a couple weeks left til school started and he sighed really big and then said “ do I really have to? School is garbage” 😂😂😂 hate to break it to ya kiddo, you’ve got quite a few more years left hahaha!

That is so true! My oldest hated school so much and I decided to homeschool when he was in 9th grade. I had to fight him on everything, he didn't want to do the work. Flash forward he is now 35 and has a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. Amazing thing is he says his best memories are of us doing his schoolwork together! Go figure, lol!

I totally understand your concerns. I'm a secondary school teacher (11-19) in England and last academic year the students were mask, in the classroom. They coped with it and acknowledged its necessity better than adults. I know your kids are younger, but usually the children are more logical about these things than we are! All the best! G xx

My daughter wore a mask from the first day of first grade to the last day of first grade, and she did wonderful! The kids are so much better about it than adults are!

I know this happened last year, and the kids did well with the mask-wearing my child was in 1st grade yes they complained and had to be reminded a few times to keep their mask on but it wasn't a big deal some adults thought it was, I was happy to hear that my child and the rest of the children were safe

Oh man, that “countertop” marble compact from Clinique just took me BACK! I remember being in school in the late 90s and if you had that green, marble compact, you were IT baby! I had a blush and pressed powder. While I’m all about evolving and redesigning packaging, I have to say, seeing that Clinique still has the same look has me loving the nostalgic memories! @@Iamheidihall I have never used that product. The only powder from MUF that I have used is their super matte loose powder, and honestly I think the one size is way better than that. It’s so finely milled that it’s perfect on the skin, I apply it with a damp beauty blender type sponge

@@the.annethology it is called “secure the blur” primer. I use it on all my clients regardless of their skin type. If you tend to be oily I would suggest after putting on your moisturizer to do a light dusting of loose powder on top while it is still sinking in. For dry skinned clients I usually will mix in a few drops of oil into their foundation or I’ll apply Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream as sort of a mask while I do their eyeshadow and lips

When I turned 16 (now 24), my mom booked an appointment at the Clinique counter for my sister and I to get a (mostly) full face of makeup. There’s not a lot of Clinique that I have repurchased, but I love their blush in Honey. I think since then, my original had expired, but I did like it enough to go out and get another one. And when I started wearing makeup, I wasn’t really into blush, and I’m still not into pink. However, Honey is a beautiful peachy color that always feels like my comfort zone where I can never go overboard as I dip my toe into wearing more blush

You should test out the Wayne Goss mascara! I have curl challenged lashes and this stuff is perfection! It is waterproof and the brush is the best. It comes out loaded just right and builds beautifully!

@Karen Prinz I was homeschooled 8-12th grade and it’s an experience with silver linings as well as its own innate challenges. I don’t know the age or temperament of your son, but I can attest that the adjustment from a social setting to a comparably isolated one can get lonely & depression is something to be vigilant about. (I presume this is true for ALL students after the last year and a half we’ve all had…) But whatever struggles may come, be kind to yourself: if you’ve made the decision to home school, then you are clearly already considering your child’s individual needs and are willing to put him first. I hope it won’t be much longer before the “new normal” can start to look a little more like the normal that once was, where the safety of our children may only require a moderate level of vigilance and where we may all have a sense of peace over fear. Bless you, Mama. You’re doing great. 💞

Clinique blushes are highly underrated. I think they always look good, as do the BareMinerals Gen Nude blushes. I don't understand that eyeshadow palette. It seems confusing - partly because there are just okay neutrals and then some repetitive tones. I think your Viseart Dark Edit does a much better job of giving a cohesive color story but with deeper tones.

I used to wear Clinique full size blushers. I had a peachy/brown color and one called Clover or New Clover. It was a pretty pinky/plumb. Belle's first day, how fun! Hi Emily, Your video was a fun little break for me today. I used to wear (back in the 1980's and 90's) everyday the Clinique Blush in New Clover. It is very pigmented and lasted all day. Now I enjoy wearing the Clinique Blush in Honey Blush (Princess Diana wore this shade) and Pink Blush. All are in the minty green packaging. Clinique also makes a lovely cream stick blush in beautiful colors. My favorite is Robust Rhubarb. It is a beautiful peachy pink shade. I love the Clinique Pop lipsticks in Nude Pop and Bare Pop. Emily I am a college professor at a private liberal arts university in Ohio. We were in-person all last year with masks and social distancing. The students adapted really well and we had very few cases overall and none traced to the classroom. Younger kids are more compliant and will do well if parents are supportive.

So even though I love your recommendations I was kinda like *shrug* when you would talk about Super Hero because no mascara matters on me. Well, the other day I was at Ulta & they had a mini and with another *shrug* I grabbed it thinking of how much you talk about it. OMG. I got home did NOT curl my lash and threw ONE coat on my eyelashes. It is unreal. The most beautiful mascara I have ever seen! Thank you!!
