Jomboy single-handedly made the MLB interesting for non-baseball fans and young people in 2019. If I were a US cricket official I would be gunning hard to get onto the Jomboy Media podcast circuit quickly. Invite Jake and Jimmy to the grounds and give them full kits and a tour, and I promise Jomboy will put your league and/or team on the map. It's how to market sports in 2021/22, and it baffles me that these owners and PR teams are not more aware of that fact.

And just to add to that catch Jomboy, the catcher cannot be holding the ball and make contact with the boundary line or the ground outside it. If he comes down on or over the boundary, the catch doesn't count and six runs are scored, so not only does the fielder have to catch the ball, he has to be aware of where he is going to land, and if he sees he is not going to be able to stay the the field of play, he has to try to throw the ball infield to avoid the six being scored.

Great breakdown. At 3:15 when you talked about batters moving around before the ball is pitched, main reason they do that is to get a little bit deeper back. Since they needed to basically hit a 6 to win, the batter wanted to be able to get some elevation on the ball. He was expecting the bowler (or pitcher) to get it as close to the toes as possible so the batter wouldnt be able to get under the ball and get any elevation. By talking a step back, it might give him an extra foot or so before the ball bounces to be able to get that elevation on his swing. Don't know if that makes sense but yeah.

Just keep in touch with the Big Bash League. Too much fun in the beginning, gets a bit boring in the middle and again gets exciting as soon as every game becomes do and die.

You get people into sports they wouldn't have otherwise. You're awesome.
