Thanks for the introduction to Elliott Smith! Amazing! As far as the best guitar player--once I saw Roy Clarke play guitar with his shoes. Not to mention Roy's range of styles from classical to rock! And all that while keeping me laughing! But I'll check out more Elliott Smith, thanks again!

Great Video! I see you played F - G - D in the chorus of Between the bars, usually instead I play Fm/Ab - G - Am/F# for nice bass voice leading. Cool stuff though!

Thank you! Oh I'm completely aware I don't play that part correctly. I think I just started doing it that way early in my gigging journey and just never changed it haha

F -> Fm is a sign of Am harmonic? (and at this point Martin may as well just gift you this guitar, lest you'll keep on coming back to play it)

Sorry I just can't figure Elliot Smith out. Yes I know he was a musical genius. But I understand Kirk Cobain or Lennon better. Or.maybe musically I don't understand nothing.

He wrote almost 300 songs. Try listening to a few more. You're bound to 'get' one of them at least.

Really good lesson… plus that guitar… I picture that guitar leaning against the wall in Kurt Cobains childhood bedroom, no case no stand.. nothing to protect it.. probably let cigarette ash fall on it as he smoked… the things that guitar has seen, and been through must be amazing, now it’s probably behind glass with a state of the art security system and climate control… the ultimate guitar retirement plan…

Sean Daniel in his head: "I appreciate your comment, but can you play more and write less" You're aware that you can fast forward the talking bits to the moments where you see he's playing right? Make changes for yourself and adapt instead of trying to change a channel the guy has been running very successfully for years 😉
