A lot of Italians speak English and you can learn Italian. It is not a hard language. Italy has a good, inexpensive healthcare system. If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate. You can remote buy the place and rent it out through a local agency and come and visit and stay there part time. I think Dave can help you with a lot of the logistics. Just remember, things move slow over there. Ciao!

The owners did a beautiful job on the remodel of this Italian house. Lovely wall colors, fantastic outdoor spaces, impeccable design, and just enough original floors and other touches. I snapped some pictures on my iPhone as I watched. I would turn the garage into an art and/or music studio where sound insulation could be added. My boyfriend would LOVE it! I really like the modern doors and dark woodwork throughout. That spice drawer in the kitchen! And a little wine entertaining space to top it all off. Wow!!

This place is simply incredible. Everything about it is fantastic other than the little access road which is a tad narrow. But there is nothing you would change at all. Simply finished the barn and use that for your Olive Grove to make your oil 😊

As Dave said, it's a private road once it becomes gravel, shared with the neighbor who looks to be set up as a B&B so you could cost share and have someone go thru and trim the overgrown bushes each side and widen a bit with a few truckloads of gravel .....

I think we're all in agreement. This is absolutely stunning! I don't know how they can afford to sell it so cheap. You can't buy a 2 bed 1 bath house in my town, for anything near this price.

Unfortunately for owner, this is Abruzzo and not Tuscany. If it was up there, you would be looking at €1M + for this size house and land. On the other hand, they likely paid very little for the old and likely abandoned original house and have restored it over time. Not sure but the owner may have been a stone Mason from UK and he's just restored as much as he could himself and hired contractors for the big stuff. All those intricate little arches/alcoves take time and patience to lay out and build and all that brick and stone work at the outdoor kitchen. Then again. Maybe they just have a boatload of money and they didn't care how much they were spending ......

Truly stunning, thank you so much for the tour! It is an absolutely divine home, but I was surprised at the lack of washrooms on the lower level living and cooking areas. I would add an outdoor shower and wc, possibly near the outdoor kitchen. It would be nice to have a bathroom on the kitchen level too, can't see having to run up through the living area whilst in the midst of a serious baking or sauce making session. Lastly, having to haul laundry all the way up to the attic level has me wondering if there is space to install a dumb waiter there... But those are the considerations of a more "mature" person, as it stands, the house is perfect for a younger, active family.

Very pretty home from the outside. The landscaping is very functional. I can certainly see why they live in the lower floor most of the year. It would be cooler though it looks a little dark until you hit the terrace and the look downhill. It looks like a lot to take care of to me though.
