Oh my. Sure would've been neat to have one of the Facom spanner wrenches in the 90's +. We put spacers in 100's of hyd. cylinders and were stuck using a pipe wrench. Embarrassing to me. Excellent sale and a fun video! Tools are pure drool. Haha! I wouldve given $5 just for the band aid box from our youth! You got bunuses.

Very good video(as all your videos), 7:07 as far as I know, this tool is for Motorcycle flywheels and clutches, it can also be used for holding other things such as gears and hubs with holes so that you can do/undo the nut/bolt securing them. Facom is a good, respectable and quality brand. In my opinion it is definitely not a junk.

nice, those Maher's operate in both directions without flipping a switch, most of the new test indicators do. Those FACOM's are top quality. I don't like their wrenches, they are boxy with square sides. But the pin spanner is a top quality item, VERY expensive. When I saw the title, I thought you were having a garage sale .. Ah Lyle, I never thought you’d “sell out”. But I guess it happens to the best of us.😊 By the way, you never talk too much. It’s your talking, even meandering, that we come here for. I’m sure you know, but some may not know that a longer probe on an indicator changes the readings.

My wife and I go to garage sales nearly every weekend, as well as estate sales. I shop for tools, she shops for vintage pottery and glass. Both of us have far more of both then we ever will need, and both my garage and our house are over flowing. But, it’s the thrill of the hunt that keeps us going. We’re both in our late sixties and I want to spend the time we have left doing things we both love.

Mr. Pete, Nice haul. The $5.00 spent on the Band-aid tin of indicators was well worth the price. You can say you paid for the tin box and got the indicators for free. There are tin Band-aid boxes on eBay right now listed for between $4.00- $15.00. Living in Florida, we don't see too many garage sales like the one you attended. What generally happens is the person having the sale had moved to Florida years ago and sold everything before the move. Then if they need a tool after they arrive, they headed to Harbor Freight and picked up some piece of junk which sits in a box (after one use)getting rusty until the widow decides to have a garage sale. I've had luck at thrift stores but still you've got to wade through the Chinese stuff in order to fine something worth while. It's interesting to think of what will be on KZbin in 60 years. "Antique Harbor Freight Hand Drill Restore" and someone will comment "I had one of those and they sure don't make them that good any more".

I would say about one in fifty yard sales to hit the jackpot. Often, the goodies are on a table off to the side and no one seems to know what the stuff is. Ahh, like opening King Tut's tomb, you find "things, wonderful things!" It is exciting when you see the markings like Starrett, Mitutoyo, Lufkin, Brown & Sharpe, and Moore & Wright. Finally, how many 0-1" micrometers does a man need? No one has reached that number to tell us.
