The funniest thing, is how scientists say that every time glaciers melt, that sea levels get higher, why does the ice in my cup, stay at the same level even when it melts?
@apolloskyfacer58423 жыл бұрын
Because most of the glacier ice is not in the sea. Yet.
@bobbyeldridge77673 жыл бұрын
@@apolloskyfacer5842 yeah, you know a lot of the reason, the planet is just moving from where it once was! That's why some areas are getting different weather patterns than they're used to, Canada, getting the heat wave! Tended to be chillier in the North direction of the world! The weather storms, birth pains!of the finish with the old, and the start of the new! It's also in a Bible! But if the government thought it posed any threat, we wouldn't even see it!

Displacement.
@alistairewen95583 жыл бұрын
@Tod x as far as I'm able to ascertain, there is not much melt on land based ice, but, if the north pole were to melt it would make no difference to sea levels, because nobody seems to take displacement into account.

Unfortunately, when rookies have a zoom lens, they feel compelled to use it, all the time. It destroys perspective, emphasizes camera shake and makes panning a poor experience for the viewer.

Why is it that people laugh at global warming and seem to think that they aren't going to be effected by it ????
@ryanchristopherson3743 жыл бұрын
Probably because glaciers have been doing this as long as there have been glaciers. we still have all the glaciers we've ever had, going back multiple centuries. Maybe....just maybe....global warming isn't the imminent catastrophe we've been told about.
@peterthornhill40323 жыл бұрын
In the past when there were these melts the temperature lowered a lot quicker and for longer . Now the temperature is staying higher for longer , so there is no longer the refreeze to hold the water back . This is happening both at the North pole and the South pole with the animals now struggling to survive because there is no thick sea ice going far enough out to give them the correct living conditions .
@mlove.973 жыл бұрын
I am with you. It just baffles me that people can still believe that we are not having a negative impact, both climate-wise and otherwise, on this beautiful, brilliant planet. She will absolutely survive, with or without us, that I believe for sure. But the whole idea is for us to remember how to be 'with' her, and live harmoniously & consciously.. not self righteously and ignorantly. Blessings to you and all 🙏💗🌎

That’s a matter of opinion. The planet has undergone millions of transformations such as climate, weather patterns and axis tilts. Salt Lake City used to be a massive lake, the Bearing Straight bridge from Russia to Alaska is now under water. The Earth will forever undergo change
