For real. Now he's getting a chance under Farke, I'll bet we'll see why he was signed (although that price tag is still disturbing!). That one goaal alone shows what's in him when confident and playing with a dedicated group. I also admire Farke for playing Gnonto after all of the negativity surrounding him. It paid off. I just pray that we can keep him and Sinisterra for the season. That front four will demolish most teams. Now we just have to FINALLY get a defense that doesn't concede so dramatically that a 3-1 lead still looks shaky.

leeds fan here, Ipswich were lethal on the counter attacks especially in the second half, and took great advantage over our mistakes, you guys played well but our front 4 were a bit more clinical, which is refreshing compared to the last couple of seasons

Farke is a genius thus far. Starts Gnonto away at Ipswich to give him a chance to win over the fans. It paid off. Now most objective Leeds fans must be hoping he'll stay for the season. Piroe scores on his debut. Sinisterra back training with the full squad scores as well. Faith in Rutter is also repaid with a fine solo goal. Some positivity at Leeds United at last! Ipwich were tough and exposed our shabby defense. Both teams made it an excellent watch. Ipswich will be up there all season. If Leeds can hold onto Gnonto & Sinisterra & strengthen their shocking defense, we may actually be on the way upwards. But, at Leeds, anything can happen in the next four days. Very happy with the three points, but still edgy about the final days of the window. MOT!

glad to see that what he can recognise and bring out of a squad is being recognised itself up there; also glad to hear your lot have taken to him and pretty quickly too. we needed a full season before things began to click. i wish him well, which means i wish you well, though i wouldn't go as far as to say WALAW !! I quite liked Sam Byram when we had him though we didn't get that many games out of him over the last four seasons (none at all during 20/21 due to injury iirc). The only other link to your current squad is Patrick Bamford who had a rather fruitless loan for the second half of 15/16 with just seven games in the Prem for us, but then your fans have their own love-hate relationship with him, I believe.

@@ManWalksDogs Norwich looking pretty good right now. I'm about to watch the 4-4 Saints highlights (I get behind. Still watch the EPL more than the Championship except for Leeds matches). Your place in Oct should be quite the game if we don't lose anymore star players 🙄I personally really like Farke so far. We've had wishy-washy managers for far too long. This man seems solid & canny. Bamford is an ongoing soap opera. I feel that he just wants out myself, I'm not a fan after 5 years. I'll be surprised if he stays after the Piroe signing. He's shown some class, but for the past 2 seasons, he's seemed disinterested & missed far too many good chances. I don't think he'd fetch much if signed. Take care.

Southampton another one with big names leaving left & right, but as you'll see that was a similar ding-dong with potent attacks vs sketchy defences. We've got Leicester coming up before you, so it'll be interesting to see how we match up. The vibe of a promotion (push) season is definitely around our club and our fans are well versed in what one of those feels like. As a neutral the game was very entertaining but defensively both teams were poor and know that they can do better. I have to say how impressed I am with the Ipswich fans, no screaming insults at Leeds players when they scored, in fact some applauded quality when they saw it. Fair play, you have a new fan

Ips £26.3m vs Leeds £212.5m) we do have good owners now who are investing in the club, but don't forget the massive fanbase... home games have both sold-out for a long time, even in League1

I've always liked Ipswich, since we had a bit of a rivalry with them, WAY back in the 1970's when Paul Mariner was a bloody nuisance. They had one of the greatest legends in football as well, Bobby Robson.,, What a man he was. There was always a great atmosphere on our visits to Portman Road...Bloody long journey tho. Hope they get back into the prem sometime soon. 🤞🤞 LOVED the fact that there was no commentary on this. It's a much better way to watch a footy game. Crowd noises & no inane blabbering.
