Incredible RAJASTHANI Mutton Burger & RARE GEM Shopping | Samode, India

During my trip to Jaipur I decided to take a quick day trip to the village and palace of Samode. Here I explored the palace, ate the juiciest mutton burger ever and explored the village!

Samode Palace, Hotel and Village are only a 45 minute drive north from Jaipur. The palace has been converted into a luxury hotel and is a must visit for at least one night. Here we saw the mirror room, we had a delicious lunch with chicken tikka and a mutton burger and we saw the accommodations.
A short walk from Samode Palace we walked into the Samode Village where we witnessed craft men making bracelets, we saw a black smith making tools, we visited a step-well and we visited a gem dealer cleaning up some of the most amazing gems I have ever seen!
Have you been to Samode Palace or Village before? I definitely recommend taking this day trip from Jaipur and either stay a night at Samode Palace or come for lunch (call for reservations) and visit the village! It's a must visit in Rajasthan!

this is what i meant with UNTOUCHED in the other video 😍😍 and after sarnath this is the second city i never heard about although i've to jaipur dozens of times. you really feel india in these old villages coz most indian cities werent planned and got their character in a sporadic way with ppl just moving in from different states. also, great short interviews with the people about their family businesses 👍🏻👍🏻just awesome!!

These are the real small town of India. The real soul. Around 20% of the population survives on age old handicrafts, hand looms and traditional art work. Before the britishers came and destroyed our indigenous industries, 60% of the population was engaged in traditional artwork, gems polishing, sword making, ship building, bangle making, woodwork, stone work, fabric designing. It will blow your mind. Try covering small towns like these in every state you visit. Each state has much variation in terms of their indigenous industry.

India doesn't get enough credit for it's architecture ,folk and craft and Indians do a very bad job to explain it. They are very quick to stick to a generalised view when someone asks instead of talking about the details as compared to Europe or US. Had this place been in Europe it would have been marketed and presented OTT and people would have paid big money to get in. I also think India has been ripped off by everyone.. from the English to the Arabs.. All ripped India off, called it their own and today what is Indian is showcased n acknowledgedas Moroccan or Balinese or some other concoction..sad really
