What to do for a stranded Whale, Dolphin, or Porpoise: DO NOT attempt to return the animal to sea. They are there for a reason, usually sick or injured. Keep people and dogs away from the animal. Only 1 or 2 persons are needed until expert help arrives. Additional people will only add more stress to the dolphin or whale. If the animal is in the surf, support it upright and keep water out of the blowhole at all times. Keep the animal cool and wet by splashing water on the skin. Avoid getting water into the blowhole. Apply wet towels or t-shirts and provide shade if possible using tarps or towels. Keep the blowhole free of obstructions and take care not to cover any of its fins or tail. DO NOT apply suntan oil. If available, apply zinc oxide to the fins and tail. The dolphin’s skin is very sensitive and will sunburn severely. Be careful around the extremely powerful tail. savethewhales.org/report-stranded-whales/

As long as its the first, its ok. And one cant judge its the first or second until we actually know this person on this video. So? The best option to choose in these scenario is to be positive. Which is the first, unless proven otherwise.

For those who wish more information on this type of dolphin. Heaviside's dolphin (Cephalorhynchus heavisidii), is one of four dolphins in the genus Cephalorhynchus. The small cetacean is endemic to the Benguela ecosystem along the southwest coast of Africa. Levels of predation are unknown, however orca (Orcinus orca) are known predators and there is evidence of shark attack from body scars.

Just FYI. If you see a beached dolphin/whale, DO NOT throw them back into the water. When they beach themselves, they are usually injured, so call a local marine organisation that can actually help. Also, DOLPHINS ARE MAMMALS. They can breath out of the water. They can't breath in water. If they can't swim, they will drown. They will die of dehydration, not suffocation, so they can stay alive for a decent amount of time. Don't touch them, and call professionals that can help the dolphin, rather than potentially kill them by chucking them back into the sea.

Dolphins have also been known to kill smaller dolphin species basically for kicks, cripple sharks and leave them to bleed out (or suffocate as the case may be, as some sharks are "obligate ram ventilators"), and engage in infanticide and gang rape among their own species. They've also been known to occasionally attempt to mate with *people*. So, yeah. Just because they're cute, playful, clever and friendly looking doesn't mean they can't be major dicks by our standards. These guys *are* aggressive carnivores above all.
