@@intellectwins4687 Since posting I actually bought 2 of these. once extended you can't turn it without pulling it and applying tension to it as it has an interlocking mechanism on all the segments. I'd recommend them.

@@Raymond2d2 it’s great! U just need a decent size bag for it to fit but not too big or else the ride staff ppl will tell you to put in a locker. What I did was put it inside my shirt and have it like a back pack instead and I rode with it. A bit uncomfortable while sitting but heck I felt so happy just being able to sit and seeing others a little envious. Perhaps I’ll buy more and sell it at parks lmao

I purchased two for wildlife/sports photography. Both broke. Apparently it common if you use them on uneven ground. You need a cushion after 30 minutes as they are uncomfortable. A great idea, hopefully the will get it right & if they do I will be buying another.

I tried it and it takes a bit of finger power to rotate and extend it fully. It's also possible to pop off around the holder around the fingers. Idea - great. Usability - so-so.

If you sit for too long, it'll break no matter how much/little you weigh or whether or not you actyally change positions. I'm 180 pounds, used it for 1.5 hours and it splayed out and broke everything. If it was aluminum with some steel parts, it would almost be perfect (at the expense of the extra weight from metal vs. Plastic, but at that point it would actually be useful)

I just got mine and it's great, but be advised you need strong hands and arms to open it as shown. I have to use both feet holding one end and both arms pulling on the other end to open it. Closing it is easy.

I think its a Chinese finger trap type of system. You have to pull it out before you twist it. It's locked in place when you put pressure on it, so when you're sitting it won't budge, but when you pull it taught you can twist it in easily.

it's bad design it's not about strength, a way around is that you can close it by rotating the central retractable part directly, put your hand flat around the central retractable part and rotate it in the right direction while holding the bottom with you other hand, it will snap and close.
