How do I get rid of tawny day lilly? I have tried glysophate, 2-4-d, mowing and tilling. I cannot get rid of them. They are taking over.

Orange daylily grows all over NW Connecticut. I wouldn’t say the flowers and seed pods are delicious. But they are okay.

The leaves are edible but only when they are very young. It has been reported that the older leaves of the plant has hallucinogenic chemicals.

Are Day lilies toxic to cats like the Star gazer Lily is?

Well, you told us everything but the name of this daylily. Would love to order some, but I doubt they are listed as "old school" or "original" daylilies. Does anyone know the official name?

They're very easy to find, they grow wild along the sides of the roads. I also like them 👍
