Hi! This list of INCREDIBLE Space-Saving Furniture, Murphy Bed, Bunk Bed Compilation for a small space apartment or home. We've collected will show you how much space a well-designed home product or piece of furniture can save you.
Let’s take a look at some incredible space-saving furniture that could be a great fit for your tiny apartment or home. Hope You Like it!
Span Coffee Transformer Table: In just a matter of seconds, it can transform from a dining or business table into a much smaller coffee table.
MurphySofa Stratus: Pull the bed down from against the wall. If you often use your bedroom as a living space during the day, or if you want an extra bed for when guests stay over, this design could be for you. An extendable coffee and dining table serves as a support for the end of the bed.
The Mini Scatola: Bench that can be packed down into a singular box seat.
Dormire Sofa Bunk Bed: The comfy couch transforms into a bunk bed that can fit 2 adults.
Tumidei Foldaway Bed and Fluffy Sofa: Combines with a fluffy sofa. The bed is pulled down from the wall on a servo-assisted frame, meaning it uses hydraulics, to ensure it lowers safely when unassisted.
FLAT 3 in 1 Smart Furniture: Smart 3 in 1 furniture option from the FLAT studio.
A clever table idea from VOX. Make business meetings or family gatherings more convenient and fun with VOX’s Big Table.
Poster Bed and Bookcase: This design is excellent for families and keeps your things organized, even when things get a little busy in the mornings!
Folding Stairs and Chairs: If you have limited space, then stairs and chairs can tend to get in the way and make moving around quite awkward. One designer from Australia has created a folding stair system made out of bamboo, a material widely used in construction because of its strength.
Hidealoo System: Emerging from the wall of a wet room, or from under the kitchen sink cabinet in a tiny bathroom, the hidealoo is a brilliant innovation that frees up a great deal of space.
KALI Pull-Down Bed with APP Desk: A single bed with headrest folds out from against the wall and a table extends and folds out from within a study desk.
Swivel foldaway bed: The key difference here obviously being the swivel design, rather than the bed lowering or folding down like many others. The reverse side of the bed can be used as a bookcase or extra shelving.
Kali Board by Clei: The Kali board by Clei transforms from a shelf or desk to a bed with storage underneath.
Foldaway double beds with sofa: Rather than a single bed and shelf, this double bed transforms into a sofa. It would fit nicely in a studio flat or in an apartment as a spare bed.
ITO foldaway bed: And finally, this stylish ITO foldaway bed can sleep 2 people and then be turned into a sofa and bookshelf.

I love stuff like this. I was in the hospital ICU with my daughter and her room had one of those hidden toilets. It was absolutely brilliant. Not sure how the plumbing works, seems like it must be flexible, but it flushed and what a great idea. She couldn't walk too well, and I could use it without getting too far away from her bedside.

In my previous apartment (which was 44sqm) I had several of these smart furnitures which was incredibly practical and space saving. I had the Goliath table along with the foldable chairs and the Murphy bed tat turned into a 2m wide desk (really great to have as a guest room bed/home office as I rarely had guests and didn't want to waste a room on an extra bed, but I wanted to opportunity to have guests stay over). However, they are pricey. VERY pricey. As I live in Norway I had to import the table. The total cost with 6 chairs was at around $7000 (USD). The bed/desk came at around $2200. That is not consumer friendly. I guess my point is that although I really love furniture like these I am saddened that they aren't made available for people who has to live in smaller apartments due to income restrictions. I hope the likes of Ikea can jump aboard this and develop cost efficient versions.

If assembling a regular piece of furniture from Ikea was too complicated imagine assembling a murphy bed... In any case I agree with you that the cost is a bit prohibitive.
@sindre.
@sindre. 2 жыл бұрын
@@miriamdiaz2740 hello, and thank you for the reply. I had kinda forgotten this comment. I live in the capital of Norway. An extra bedroom would not be as cheap as 10k. Probably more in the realm of 70-100k in the area we lived in. Especially if you go from 2 rooms to 3. So 10k was an easier way to capitalize on the space we had. However, there are other factors too of course. Location etc. we opted for a better location rather than bigger place. And the furniture was a nifty thing we found after buying the place. It should be said that when we sold the apartment, we sold the bed/desk unit with it. The sale price went 100k above asking price much due to our renovation. Just showing potential buyers you can utilize a single room into two functions helped a lot. I think my point was that although these furnitures can be really great, I would like to see multifunctional furniture at lower costs for people who could benefit from it.

Love these designs! Housing prices in downtown Helsinki are C R A Z Y, so many families end up living in relatively small homes, if they want to stay in the center. I had self built Murphy beds in my previous flat. Used the space as a play area for the kid, and during family gatherings I set up a large dining table for 8 people in the same space! The table top was leaning against the wall (fastened) when not in use 😀 In our new apartment we have a sliding bed under the kids bed, for overnight friends. Also the sofa clics into a bed for more guests. And the dining table converts from 4-seater to 8-seater. These ideas are so useful! We used to plan building a loft, those folding stairs would be perfect for that!

Exactly. I never understood the point of those space-saving beds when those are the most frequently used. Plus imagine the backache from the repetitive unfolding. It still looks amazing though.

I want that last bed. My dad would have told me to want in one hand and spit in the other and see which gets full first. I doubt it's in my budget in the next ten years, and by then they will have made something even more wonderful.

@I Love You People are being critical because they don't underestimate the designers. They can do so much more if they didn't settle for low standards. So if it seems like people are inconsiderate, it's not, they're just voicing their standards and concerns. Which is necessary for progress to fuel innovation. Tho there are certainly people who act like that just to get a word in. ('m guilty)

I do own the expanding coffee/dining table at 1:40 minutes in the video. I bought it on Amazon about 4-5 years ago for about $300. It's one of the best purchases I ever made.

I liked the last one best. I also liked the table and bench seating that turned into a console table and side tables. So if you could combine, you could have bedroom, living room and dining room in tight. Add the hide-away toilet to give you space in a tiny bathroom with shower and a rvr style kitchen and you have the 1 floor tiny house. Or get the folding stairs to put bedroom/living room and bathroom up stairs with kitchen and dining room downstairs. Oh I forgot I like the sofa to bunkers idea too.
