What looks like a precursor to the Nintendo World Championships 1990 ...
A 1988 Episode featured a Nintendo contest. Competing were three boys from the Midwest in games produced by Nintendo:
-Super Mario Bros. 2
-Ice Hockey
-Rad Racer
The winner took home a U.S. National Video Team jacket.

I guess back then a 3.0 was worth mentioning. The hosts really had to sell the games.

They want to try and make it sound like there good smart kids. Cuz back then and still theirs that saying that Video Games rot your brain and kids that played video games were drop out losers and dummies. So there were trying to reach the middle class american family's with kids that "Had good grades: and "Looked smart" and "You could relate to cuz they looked like your kids". Thats why that cringe intro was made. It was just the times lol.
