I feel the tiny home movement is more about getting our priorities straight rather than being about affordable housing. I believe more & more of us are tired of being ruled by stuff that doesn't bless us or serve us every moment of every day & the big houses that require too much time & effort to maintain simply to accommodate all the things we neither need or truly value.

I wasn't claiming that owning & maintaining a home isn't costly, that's a given. Even owning & maintaining a tiny home has its costs, but it takes a lot less time & effort allowing for greater peace & more opportunities for actual living. Rather than all the stuff we keep inside our over-sized homes owning us & ruling--& ruining--our lives, with tinies, we can own our homes & live free.

I really don't know you Randy or Amanda but I am so proud of both of you. You have worked hard to make this dream a reality and make it a reality for others to have a home that they may have only been able to dream of. And just watching how Randy looks out for Amanda shows so much of his character. I believe he is a good man. And if I get to the point where I can save enough money to live here, I would definitely trust in his promise of what these communities will turn into and maybe someday be a resident!

I have been thinking about the people who lost their lives on 9/11/2001. There is a tribute at the Pentagon (which I saw in Summer of 2002), and I remember there was a tribute made in Pennsylvania too. Randy, I am so sorry that you lost your friend in 2001. I also want to wish you a Happy Birthday, Amanda, and hope you are feeling much better. Another idea is to build a deck over the hitch and put some skirting under it too. Well for me its a matter of finance mostly but a tiny home at 55 is perfect idea right now in my life problem is I'm in Niagara Falls Canada and the rules in Ontario haven't caught up to your modular certified being a primary residence !! not yet as not many have done it over here yet but they will be as since covid prices to rent or own are impossible to say the least! Right now, to rent a one bedrm its over $1200.00 usually$ 16.00 and up to$ 2400.00 the hike in price doesn't meet the incomes for most seniors or soon to be like myself at 55 your incredibox one under 20k is perfect for me but I'm curious as to whether you deliver to Ontario Canada? I prob could pick it up might take my friend and I hours to get there lol but if need be we could lol I enjoy your videos the two of you are a hoot Randy!!!! Goderich has a community bluewater is the name I think but they don't make them and the vid I saw was 4 yrs old the place is prob full by now il find out as I'm still on the hunt for land but been planning and deciding to watch so many vids on them every day!! a few options on land may come through I just am anxious to get one done to live as at this moment I'm considered homeless staying at friends on his couch long story of why but I really really need and want a tiny home to call my own asap!!! We now have joined the rest of the cities who have a string of ppl living in tents now on the west side of town just like Vancouver and a couple of places in the U.S as well Tiny homes are where its at today at the cost of living or wel all be in tents and the govt doesn't seem to really care!!!! sad but true, hope to hear from you as to whether you deal with Canada and cost to deliver as most likely id have to come there as price will stop me lol I've saved close to 30 k by spring il have that and more k thanks for reading and keep up the vids there great k thank you!!! Hey Randy and Amanda! It may be different in TN but to my knowledge a modular home is in fact built in a factory and strapped to a carrier and not built to the trailer so it can be lifted off and put on a slab or a foundation. With trying to secure a loan the banks treat modular homes like a stick built home but if it is still on a trailer they treat as a mobile home and the rates are much higher. When you build the Modular "certified " home does it come off the trailer when delivered?

The axles and hitch are removed, after delivery, and then the home is placed on the already prepared foundation, and secured to it.

I hope Modular Certification will spread to other states soon. ITH should hire a traveling lobbyist to get other states onboard. It would payoff in more sales for ITH in the end.
