I love Nobu's attitude. We have been homesteading for over a decade, and I can say it is never easy, but his can-do perspective is inspiring and heartwarming. He nailed it when he spoke about community, because once you've mastered the myriad challenges of homesteading, it is giving back to the community that creates the continuity of generations. Banpuku.

My biggest dream was to move to Japan with my wife and live off the land . Meet good farmers who can teach and hire for help , after research it seems the visa process brings more complications that it’s taking us longer than we expected and then Covid hit the world . Plans are now stagnated and the place I live is just getting more corrupt and unhealthy . That would be America , learning Japanese aswell so hopeful that if nothing bad happens in the next 5 years I will soon leave to Japan and pursue farming off the grid . If that’s even possible

Beautiful video showcasing a wonderful man and his dream come-to-life. His home place is so dynamic and inviting, and seeing everything he and his wife have created brings happiness and peace to us viewers. Would be great to see more of Nobu's daily activities -- the earth-oven being used, the food being prepared. Such happy simplicity, yet so rich and valuable!

I sold my grandparents' house on a 2000m2 wild garden and I have started to beat myself up for it everyday with an increasing sense of remorse. It was a huge mistake to sell at least 250 years of family history, childhood memories of me, my mom, and my ancestors, the link to the village, and the opportunity to connect with a piece of land so significant for me and bring my future kids to their great-grandparents home. Now I am looking for some piece of land where I could start a food forest, but I lost 12 years, prices quintupled, and it will never be the same. So much jealously guarded heritage built with the sweat of their brows squandered. I am deeply regretful and ashamed. I didn't know better, I didn't see the value I can see now and there is no one living I could ask forgiveness from.
@DavidRodriguez-gl5pn Жыл бұрын
Ugh I just want this kind of land so bad, but everything in America is “owned” by the government 😭😭
