‘Incredibly cruel’: Victorian MP slams Labor’s threatened vacant land tax expansions

Victorian Liberal MP Bev McArthur says Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas is “incredibly cruel” for looking to expand vacant residential land taxes.
Ms McArthur sat down with Sky News host Rita Panahi to discuss the Victorian vacant residential land tax, which could soon include regional Victoria.
“It’s just incredibly cruel,” she told Ms Panahi.
“135 new regulations.”
Victoria’s debt is the highest of any state, and the government is looking to expand on property taxes.

$3000 Victoria land tax bill for my 94 yo grandmother who is 50% on her daughters land title for Christmas, this is the the family home not investment property. They make this change now and backdate it 5 years
