5:52 Flare stacks are undoubtedly the most striking component of the oil refineries. I always wanted to see one applied to a layout. Now I've seen it. Hopefully more varied ways will be found to apply these gas flares in other examples. Very impressive.

This is amazing. I used to be able to look at a layout, and tell you if it is Z, N, HO, S, or O scale. You could have easily convinced me this was N, or even HO scale. I used to live in the "Golden Triangle" or the Beaumont/Orange/Port Arthur Texas USA area. It is called that because of the petrochemical plants that are joined across the entire region, you can drive for miles, and see nothing but plants like this. This layout captures the feel very well. I am in awe of that flare stack, well done! Besides the weathering, the only other criteria I can give it is that it needs more lights to be like the actual chemical plants. For example, the equipment @2:00 should have lights all along the walkways, even the carbon black "derrick" in the background. These plants are ablaze with lights at night. If it were possible, I would even put pinholes in the backdrop and a light behind it so even the equipment on the backdrop is lit up. But I can also fully appreciate the difficulty of doing so. A fantastic job once again. Thank you @Pilentum for sharing.

Fantastic model railway at that very small scale. But the filming lingers too long on one scene, the time could have been halved by making it a bit shorter and it would have a greater effect.

I like these videos. And these layouts are always very good. As for realism.....the chemical plant is very goid. The layout and placement of items is good too......but what ruins the effect is the complete lack of dirt soot and other aging needed. That plant would really knock you out if it was all dirtied up.
