This is one of the best Model Railroads that I have seen. The painting of ever single item is what makes it look so real. Thanks for sharing this with us!!

Many thanks for an excellent layout. I used to work in a model shop in Colchester, Essex. I was head of the model railways department. "If you are short of space, choose O Gauge". I'm now retired and living in Spain. Spain has a high speed railway to Madrid. It cost over 8.1 Billion pounds. Railway are not dead in Europe!

Such a lovely edit. The mixture of sound from the movements and ambient music is a great combo. One of your best I’d say. Thank you 😊

Love it. You know what would enhance it even more? Shadows. I don’t know how you’d do it, but it would be fun finding out.

At the beginning that's actually a Class 37 sound whereas the model is a Class 47.
@beeble20035 ай бұрын
It's also a class 37 that's working considerably harder than the class 47 that's shown.

@beeble20035 ай бұрын
@@Klemheist-vf1hx Why edit in sound if it's not even the right sound? Class 37s have a very distinctive sound and, if you recognise that sound, watching the start of the video is like watching a video of Rishi Sunak overdubbed with Winston Churchill's voice, because that's what British Prime Ministers sound like, right
@sapphirejunction89935 ай бұрын
@@Klemheist-vf1hx Not even remotely a nerd, just get the sound right to match the loco rather than look like an amateur when it comes to UK traction.

Lovely layout and so much detail! The first locomotive is a Brush Type 4, but the sound it is making is of an English Electric Type 3, not the correct sound for this locomotive

This isn’t criticism as I think the layout and sounds are fantastic… but… in most layouts I’ve seen nobody pays attention to “ground weathering”..? what I mean by that is things lick spillage, oil stains, the odd bit of rubbish etc, in real life a rail yard would have years of grease and fuel stains on sleepers and on walkways caused by footfall and engine drips.. I worked for BR C&W sheds Watford Junction in the 1970’s and I can assure you it was “messy”… wooden sleepers soaked in diesel and oil, platforms were grubby, as I say it isn’t criticism it’s just when I see weathered locos and spotless floors / walls it loses reality for me 👍🏻

Your remarks are correct. Perhaps it is difficult to weather landscapes. Locomotives, wagons and buildings can be easily weathered today, but entire landscapes?
