Aliex, I fish my 1600 acre lake, and other big fisheries. This was my 1st season not fishing but kayak fishing. And I fell in love with this boat. I have The HOODOO IMPULSE 120 PDL. But I have a "Island hopper outboards " fitted side transom. They basically make them for your higher dollar kayaks, that can handle a small outboard, or trolling motor. I have my 2.5 Suzuki outboard. I'm 5ft 7" weigh 151. So that Suzuki gets up to 12.8 mph, but I'm light, and my kayak when I go out, with me I'm probably at 325 max, with all my gear. I also have a 46lb thrust trolling motor I run, by HOODOO if I wanna leave the 2.5 at home. But I'm looking into the Newport vessel outboard, you've been testing. I made sure I purchased a kayak with a square stern. But all your tips, testing, being honest. Made me purchase my boat I love!! 👍🎣🙏

Love this jet boat and he is entertaining. I have a kayak that has a 2 1/2 outboard but it's actually registered for a 7 hp. I think if I upgrade mine it will be faster especially weighing only 79 lbs. . The only advantage this one has is with jet propulsion it can go in shallower water. I like power so I also put a 70 lb. thrust Minnkota Powerdrive with ipilot on it.

lol i still get nervous when launching my boat, esp at a new boat ramp... but after its all done ad im on the boat i feel better... that and when i drink a couple beers and spark up a joint lol.. fast i got on my 14ft jon boat and 15hp evinrude was 23 mph and it seemed like i was going 50 mph

@@AliexFolgueira lol i feel you... i live in levy / marion county up near gainesville area and i mostly take my boat out on the rivers.. but the rivers can be sketchy from cypress stumps / rocks.. after i hit a stump a couple times, and hit some rocks with my prop (had to replace it) now because of those times every time im out on the river i keep expecting to hit something lol... a slight paranoia... i just tell myself when i am out there and feeling anxious that worse case scenario i hit a rock or stump and have to fix my outboard... its an old 1978 15hp evinrude which run around 650-800$ online for one like mine... so i tell myself... worse case scenario i just buy another outboard...

@@AliexFolgueira I was in the water hanging onto the back of a friends paddle board, he was on the paddle board when he told me to climb on to it real slow, i looked down and their was a 3 meter Great White shark about a meter from me. I slid onto the board real quiet not to splash any water. We sat on the board feet out of the water and stayed perfectly still as it stalked us for about 15 minutes, Under us and from side to side not more than 3 meters from us. At the end it was on the shore side of us when it come about touching distance from us and then swam off in front of us. We stayed still for another 5 minutes before paddling to shore. We where like 17 meters from shore and knew we wouldn't make it. This was at the "Bribie Island bridge Pumicestone Passage, Queensland" just north of the bridge on the island side. Even today it worries me when i think of it. That's why i said to stay safe.

@Aliex Folgueira oh yeah. It's a really cool toy. I imagine it gets you to good fishing spots in a hurry. I came upon this video searching for fast kayak. I like the exercise and challenge of paddling. I have a NuCanoe Flint and a 12 ft Malibu Stealth. They're both a bit slow. The Flint especially. I'm looking for a kayak that I can paddle about 4 knots comfortably. I get 2 knots with the 2 I have. 3 with the Malibu for a while. I do have an old Necky that I have gotten to 5 knots for a while, but for fishing, not great.
