Sculptor Jago is being called the "new Michelangelo." His ability to turn a misshapen block of marble into an emotional work of art is absolutely amazing!

Marble statues have been around for thousands of years. Technically cardi b’s music is a form of evolving.

I see what you’re saying but art really is subjective you are comparing songs made in thirty minutes to a sculpture that took many hours

Music is an art form that’s free and available to the public while fine art is usually a privilege.

I saw the photo of this sculpture in the email newsletter today and it literally brought tears to my eyes. I am thrilled to find an actual video depicting the creation of this beautiful sculptural masterpiece.

He used the clay model as a reference. And used it to measure proportions. Those holes on marble were to help him measure to the surface of the sculpture.

Техника ладно, но почему все Возрождение прошло мимо него? Он же в этом всем живет, черт побери... Где школа старых мастеров, где композиция, где вкус и смыслы? Я знал что информационная среда отравляет, но не до такой же степени..

It's the same as playing chess with a computer. First , two actors depict the desired figure, it is scanned, and the computer creates a virtual model of the sculpture. After 3D modeling, the machine drills many holes in the marble block to the desired depth. After that, the sculptor grinds the marble, focusing on the depth of the drilled holes. And immediately the perfect proportions are obtained. After that, the skin structure and small details are formed on a 3D machine using a thin stream of water with an abrasive.. All 3D machines are computer controlled.. The sculptor himself depicts manual labor.Look at the holes in the sculpture's head.......

But that’s not how it works, the proportions are found using a clay model (something that most high school art students can do) and than he uses an instrument that Canova invented to translate the proportions to the marble. No computers or machinery

My teacher was once talking about Picasso's Guernica, she said "you cant paint a beautiful woman in such dark circumstances" And this sculpture is the embodiment of the opposite, both of these people are very beautiful and realistic and yet you can feel the pain this man feels. The effect is exemplified when it is realistic, i feel so much more for this sculpture than i do for those unrecognisable doodles of Guernica.

Good afternoon. He has only sculpted the statue in marble... instead of traditional hammer and chisel, he has used a jackhammer. The small spots are reference points for the proportions.
