I think that she deserves jail time for not only the constant physical abuse she inflicted on Johnny, but perjury in court is also a criminal offense that can carry jail time as well if I'm not mistaken? She literally cut off his finger tip that he was luckily able to have reattached, and he covered for her yet again. There's photos out there of some of the injuries she inflicted on him...he was so in love with her that all normal reason was suspended...he admitted that much. I highly doubt that he will ever marry again, but I do think that in time and if he meets the right person he will love again and have relationships...just not anything "legally binding" I don't think that he ever wants the bullshit of the very public airing of his private life and problems being made public again.

Amber is a textbook example, literally textbook in every way, of a gas-lighting narcissist. Her wording, her methods, the mind games she plays, the manipulation and the control, the lies, the self justification. It's all absolutely classic narcissism. Sadly, Johnny is also very typical of the victims. A good person who loves the person they imagine their partner to be instead of the reality. Sooooooooo... Amber gets a restraining order against Johnny, as he has apparently been abusive towards her. She is caught out lying when giving her deposition and actually admits being abusive towards him. The case is dismissed with prejudice and both Amber and Johnny agree to a confidentiality agreement. Johnny, although receiving plenty of backlash from the bull of public opinion, holds up his end of the deal. Amber, however, writes an op-ed that yet again paints Johnny as an abuser, albeit without mentioning his name. Johnny, feeling the deal has been breached and his name and career is being dragged through the mud, decides to sue. Amber now claims that the op-ed wasn't about Johnny while her lawyers continue to paint him as an abuser who is still abusing her mentally and emotionally by bringing her to court in order to clear his name. Three times Amber has tried to get the case dismissed while also arguing that Johnny is trying to silence her. She has also asked for a confidentiality or privacy agreement when they go to court, which in effect is another effort to have HIM silenced...at least where the public is concerned. Johnny, who didn't break their previous confidentiality agreement says no to Amber, who did break the earlier agreement. Absolutely incredible!!

AH made a pledge to donate money. The manipulative media claim she made good and donated all of it after she made a big production to the press that she would after the divorce in 2016. However, she didn't and made a big stink when Johnny donated the money instead of giving it to her. She did get her bare minimal cut for the (divorce only), but waited until the end of 2018 to pledge some of the divorce money to a children's hospital in LA and the ACLU. I only think she did that after pressure for not following up on her promise in 2016. And, even then, I can't find any evidence from these charities that actual money was given...so there's that. A pledge for donation is not the same as giving a donation. I am sure it was another scam for attention like everything she does. Even if she did give some of her divorce money(which I don't believe), she certainly did not pledge all seven million of it and the one million she did pledge was only to save face. Just another way she has twisted the facts for the press and public to make herself into some kind of freaking hero.🙄 However, Johnny Depp has donated his personal time and money for children's hospitals and many other charities for years now and has done so quietly and humbly, because he is never been in it for the attention, unlike ScAmber.

I'm from the UK and as Janet says I also feel ashamed of the failings of our court system in this clearly corrupt, possibly Murdoch funded verdict. But we have to remember this was really about: is there enough "evidence" out there in the public domain to make it justifiable that Dan Wooton described him as he did. Someone in another comment elsewhere on KZbin pointed out that if you look at it like that, on technicalities I think this is why the Sun (a paper many British people avoid due to its dishonest, biased coverage of certain events like the Hillsborough disaster,) won it's case - because their team could argue there was enough information in the public domain to make Dan Wooton's description of JD fair enough based on the information out there in the wider world. I think some people forget that Amber herself was never really on trial, The Sun newspaper was, and the case was almost certainly a losing battle from the beginning as far as JD was concerned. Although all the audios that have been released into the public domain should have helped, they didn't - and I don't know if that was because they were released after Dan Wooton's argument. There can be no doubt Dan Wooton, for all his bravado, must have now changed his mind and is in fact a crucial part of JD's evidence of defamation, so in the 11th April trial in which Johnny is personally suing Amber for defamation, the Dan Wooton article will surely be a key piece of proof that Johnny was defamed by Amber. Because JD is suing AH now instead of a vast corporation with money to spare, the questioning will obviously follow a very different line. I hope this helps to slightly explain it. It will have all been based on what was known on the date of the article's publication as well, subsequent information couldn't possibly be counted. I can't wait for the Virginia trial to be over... someone is paying all AH's court costs according to speculation, as the legal fees accrued so far will be huge. So, even if (God forbid) Johnny loses because of a corrupt judge and or jury interference, I honestly think the court of public opinion is overwhelmingly in favour of JD by now. This has been going on far too long now, let's hope justice is served.
