Great build ! I've got a 2019 sc5010cc and I'm rocking xt/xtr di2 system.. why didn't you run the derailleur etube through the frame? I got rid of the xtr display and used a 3 port junction placed in the steer tube along with the battery.. and a oneUp steer nut.. so clean.. I'm glad to see peeps still using Di2.

@MarioLenzen
@MarioLenzen 4 жыл бұрын
Das wäre doch was. Danke nochmals!!
@overjoony796
@overjoony796 4 жыл бұрын

I'm glad you like it except for the tubes. But for me it's much easier and works perfect with higher presure in the tires. I usually ride with 2 Bars/29psi front and rear. In this case tubeless is not a benefit.
@flemming_j_
@flemming_j_ 4 жыл бұрын
Mario Lenzen you still have the benefit off better puncture protection, and slightly lower weight. And tubeless just rides better. Why that much Pressure, especially in the front?, terrain?, you are loosing grip there.

@MarioLenzen

Servus!

I'm curious why you would choose the old Di2 11 speed with aftermarket cassette over Shimano's new 12 speed. Or if you wanna stick with electronic shifting, Sram's AXS Eagle.
@MarioLenzen
@MarioLenzen 4 жыл бұрын
The SunRace Cassette works just fine, quite similar to the Shimano's 11-Speed but it's Black ;) I've got the new 12-Speed Shimano on other bikes but on this bike I want to stick to the electronic. Actually I'm still waiting for the 12-Speed Shimano XTR wireless Di2. I think this is the next step and I can't wait for that. SRAM is not option for me.

Your spec didn't mention the rotor size. Are you running the original spec 180mm and therefore no REAR brake adapter was needed? I have 203mm XT on mine with a brake adapter but want to downsize to 180mm now. Curious if no adapter is needed. UPDATE: I see your spec was 180mm now! Looks like no adapter too. I wish I knew the length of the fixing bolt.
@MarioLenzen
@MarioLenzen 3 жыл бұрын
Yes I'm running the 180 rotor on this Bike with no Adapter needed. Use the standard Screws that comes with the Brake and not the screws from the Adapter. It should be around 20mm or so. Try the screws first without the caliper and see how much you can turn them in. If there is enough space without the caliper you're good to go. If you can't turn the screw all the way in then use washer on top of the caliper.

Hmm, you are between Medium and Large. That's personnel preference. The Large is more stable when it's faster, the Medium is more playful easier in technical stuff. Depense on what your riding style is. Also the wheelsize is personel preference and you can ride both. 27.5 more playful, 29 more stable when faster. In the best case you have to test some different bikes to see what fits you best.

Thank you. My Bike Stand is probably the oldest tool I have. It's around 20 Years old from Kettler. I was looking for a new one but I do really like the flat feet and the low profile. Newer stands often have some triangle feets and this is not comfortable to work with especially if you're not use it mobile. Mine is always at the exact same point so foldable makes no sense in my case. Perhaps any time soon I can afford the Park Tool Deluxe Single Arm with the Steel Base Plate but this one is expensive.

@subscribe please: The price is around 993.000 Indian Rupees. But this is for this custom build. Maybe go to a bike shop or check the Santa Cruz website for more details where to get it. I don't know if these bikes are distributed in India!?

Is that a proper way to bleed xtr brakes? What a waste such a beautiful brakes and you bleed it like that you should just give it to me.
@MarioLenzen
@MarioLenzen 4 жыл бұрын
It is the right way to bleed Shimano brakes trust me. No other Manufacturer makes it easier than this. 👍

Mario Lenzen it’s because you haven’t used them you just introduced air into the system makes them 10x better than sram with this method

I tried using it and its really spongy
@MarioLenzen
@MarioLenzen 4 жыл бұрын
@rohan Besway: Try it one more time. Turn the Free Stroke Screw a fwe rounds out than it should work. And while you doing it just snap a few times the brake hose to make sure every air gos up to the caliper. Mount the brake also as highest point. The brake hose should go all the way up.

Wow the routing from the rearbrake is awful
@MarioLenzen
@MarioLenzen 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know. Sorry for that. But because I'm a left hand rear braker i have to go different ways and the Hightower has no option for the other brake orientation. Afterwards I fix it a little better. So it's not that awful anymore but still not the best choise.

Yes indeed. I know it's not common but i like it better with tubes and higher pressure in the tires.
