It's a gentle giant. Perfect for a kid's themed park. It's right at home. I get why some coaster enthusiasts find it boring, but it's a perfect first big steelie for kids. It was my first inversion too, and I credit the smooth, gentle ride for getting me comfy with big coasters.
@nathanlamoreaux12723 жыл бұрын
I agree that the most impressive aspect of this coaster is its operations. Part of the reason they can dispatch so quickly is the easy and simple restraint system that is extremely accommodating, and that guests take their loose articles and bags on the ride with them. I think that's part of the reason the trains are so "boxy" and clunky, so that guests' bags will stay inside. If they put new gen Intamin trains on it, like Velocicoaster, guests would need to use lockers which is definitely not Disney's style of doing things.

It was my first looping coaster, and it was really fun imo, still is. I also personally don't find the loop that bad, and the restraints are bearable, except on the break run. Every time I hit the brake run, my chest gets slammed into the hard plastic and it hurts, I have to brace for it. Still don't like the restraints much, but I'll deal with it. Overall, really fun ride, but definitely could've gotten a few fixes for the layout and trains, but nice to have at a Disney park. 8/10 for disney

Rode this today twice, once at the back and the other time in the front. I personally love the trains and the restraints even thought they are the most bulkiest things in the world. The back is an airtime machine but is painfull in the loop, very rough. The front obiously gives you the best view, still good airtime and went throught the loop not as bad in the back. After the first time riding today I was watching trains go through the loop, the loop was super swayey after a train went through it. Still was awesome but the loop definetally needs to be replaced, even thought it is hard to put your hands up with the thicc cars I enjoy the ride. My mom told me I went on California Screamin when I was 4, such an awesome coaster that is very close to me and the retheme was much needed. Can't wait to ride again!

I have been riding Incredicoaster since 2002 (when it was California Screamin and had the Mickey silhouette on it). It probably has one the most comfortable OTSRs that I have experienced and it definitely gives the best pops of airtime on any Disney coaster. It is also one of 2 coasters that I have had the chance to be evacuated from due to technical/weather issues (Goofy's Sky School was the first). The wind was actually blowing strong enough to slow the train I was in to a complete stop on the mid-course break run before the start of the coaster's final act.

The train/restraints point is interesting. At my home Disney park, Space mountain was a custom launched Vekoma looper, with hard plastic trains and bulky ots restraints. However, it was overhauled and became Hyperspace mountain, getting a Star wars theme, and new trains, featuring a more open design and vest restraints. The fact that Incredicoaster kept its old trains probably has to do with the manufacturer, because all Disney Intamins, even the most recent ones, seem to have the same restraints.

It's likely the trains are the reason the reason the loop is jarring. Though I've ridden this coaster a countless number of times over the last 5 years until Disney ended all AP's (and I moved to WA). I never really noticed any rattle nor felt any discomfort on that loop. I wonder if it's a relatively new thing or if it's just something I never noticed before. Either way, I agree it's a great ride! I love getting on it when I'm at Disneyland Resort. I just rode The Voyage for the first time last weekend (AMAAAAAZING) and I have to say, I never really noticed either the long length of Incredicoaster the same way I noticed Voyage's. I suppose it's because The Voyage is relentless in a way Incredicoaster isn't (and really, shouldn't be given its mainstream appeal).
@Yikes_its_Psychs3 жыл бұрын
I agree with the video 100% especially about the trains. I wish they would take off some of the plastic/fiberglass, or at least reduce some of it so it feels a bit more roomy (the current trains almost make me feel claustrophobic), and put on the new style intamin otsrs (the over the shoulder lap-bars would be better). Maybe then the loop would throw your head into the restraint....
