the police went to the house of the senator , with fact of a whistle-blower, as they are called that there is stolen funds there, at getting to the house , you did not find what you looking for but you decided to take some other things just to increment the person. this now goes down to that , they dont have probably cause to have search the place at first place, this law that he talks about has been in exitance during the military regime , used against fela.

A sitting senator is also a Nigerian citizen like you or me. If it were my house or yours that was searched like this would the matter even reach channels news let alone anybody even bat an eyelid. The police know what they went to look for there. I disagree with you that it was money they were looking for and that it was based on a whistleblower. I think you confuse the police with EFCC here
