I’ve seen some info say from day 10 to day 25 you should open the incubator, spray the eggs with water mist, and let them cool to about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Have you ever heard this?

Thats what we do! It works great but we normally let the eggs cool to room temp (25-30 mins) and spray with warm/hot water

Hello...when incubating at what day of the incubation period you start turning the eggs?

we start turning immediately, we mist at day 10-25 and we dont open the incubator after day 25 (which includes taking them off the incubator)

Thank you, really helpful information in this video, I do have a question though, you say duck eggs arnt a normally high hatch rate, If I wanted to end with a maximum of 5 and no less than 3 ducklings, how many would you set in the incubator? I know you can't say for sure but this is what im struggling with. Ideally I only want 4, but am unable to purchase ducklings therefore im forced to hatch. What would you do?

I put 5 in and none hatched.

Honestly, get a set of 12, we just did that and ended up with 3, but you kinda have to test your luck with it. If you're looking for duclings/full grown maybe try checking craigslist, fb market, and auctions. Good luck!

Duck eggs can be viable for longer than 3 days as long as the weather is not cold look up how Mallards keep nests and have eggs

99.5 degrees is for chicken eggs. Chickens and ducks are different species requiring different incubation methods.
