Hi Gavin, i had a go at making a incubator out of an old vivarium, i got the temp up ok but at night the temps in the incubator drops by 2 or 3 degrees, is that ok or should i try something else? I have been keeping my eye out for a drinks cooler but no joy with that so far. Cheers mate 👍👍👍
@Balls2U6 жыл бұрын
It's not going to hurt however the stat should keep it up to temp

If the temp is bang on now i run the incubator for months the humidity in the incubator is holding at 90% the tubs in the herpxotics incubator are rubs 5 litre so not air tight do i need a hole in the front and back as the eggs are a couple of days old and have a dimple in the top of them and its a 50 50 mix vermiculite water or do they need more humidity
@matthewrice12265 жыл бұрын
I know I’m really late here but. I’m going to be having my first clutch soon. So just to recap as you said. Make sure the incubator itself is set to 89.5-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
@neilphillips8105 жыл бұрын
Hi Gavin, i know you said just get the incubator to 90degrees and not worry about temps in the egg box, but the temp in my test egg box is 85-86 degrees but stable day and night, is that ok? My actual incubator is between 88 and 90 depending on time of day. Thanks Gavin.
@Balls2U5 жыл бұрын
Yes that will be fine, over the course of the 55-60 days it will change and you should have babies 😉👍🏼

If I breed snakes that be me one hundred percent, freaking at temps , freaking cause the eggs has a dimple, so I think it is better I just keep to pets and leave all the hard work to pros like you great video will be very helpful information for newer breeders and maybe even some with a little experience under their belts thank you so much for sharing 😊

Hey gavin I just wanted to say thank you! I recently got a spider female from pet co which I know I shouldn't have but she was so beautiful I wanted to save her. She came home with mites😢 I recently saw a video of yours about how you used bedding and got mites. I ditched the bedding and got rid of the mites.😊 I also so your video about strike feeding and drop feeding. I set her set up similar to what you do and guess what?! She had her first strike feed ever for me lastnight😁😊😊 so thank you very much I'm so happy
