These guys were awesome. This is their peak too IMO. So many bands wanted to take the rap/metal/hip hop sound to the next level but just couldn't quite figure out how to stand out. These guys nailed it and they did it with superb musicianship! All of the musicians were such good players and they played so well together! I still have never seen a hard rock band integrate a DJ the way these guys were able to do it. Way ahead of their time. On top of that, they could write pop songs with hooks for days! No other American rock band has really been able to get to their level since. Last truly great American rock group...so far...
