@@yournoasshole hard to keep a voice like his going though I guess. I know that Geddy Lee is a different sort of singer, but both push their voices to their limits. At least we have recordings of his voice at its best

I don't think most people realize how important the drum section is to making this song so great. If you haven't already, listen again but shift your attention to the drums. This guy is a wizard with his work on the high hats and cymbals

You're right, those cymbals make a huge difference over the song

morning view came out when i was 14, a freshman in high school. today i am 33. I know it sounds cliche, but those were legit better times to be a kid and i feel blessed to have grown up in this era. Incubus, and good art in general reminds us to follow our intuition and be true to ourselves. When you follow your own truths in this world, eventually you will create your own art of some kind, and a leave a mark as beautiful as these guys did. Thats the reason music sucks today, because humanity in large has been programmed through the excessive social media and technology, that we dare to think outside the box. Thats why i love art, its a way for the soul to break its boundaries and draw out the hidden treasures inside of us.
@chaseyelliott54843 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you! I have been listening to Incubus since I was a baby. I'm 15 right now, and they are all I listen too. Music these days and what kids my age listen too is so self absorbed and just so trashy. I am so thankful that this band exists. This is the band that makes me feel like a real person. Not someone who is trying to be like everyone else, listening to the same crap music, but actually enjoying actual instruments and amazing vocals. I wish more kids my aged actually appreciated this music like you and I do. :)

Incubus have that perfect balance between all instruments and sounds. Each member brings something great and distinct to the band and it's all mixed and arranged so well. No instrument overpowers another. Other bands that do this so well that come to mind are Stone Temple Pilots, Tool, Pantera, Deftones & Alice In Chains. Incredibly musically talented.

(When will we learn?) When will we change? (When will we change?) Just in time to see it all come down Those left standing Will make millions Writing books on the way It should have been She woke in the morning She knew that her life had passed her by And she called out a warning, warning "Don't ever let life pass you by" Floating in this cosmic jaccuzi We are like frogs oblivious To the water starting to boil No one flinches, we all float face down When she woke in the morning She knew that her life had passed her by And she called out a warning, warning "Don't ever let life pass you by, pass you by"
