Yes, the thermostat sensor will measure the temperature and turn off the heater from the IncuKit regardless of the heat source. But obviously, the other heaters which are not wired to the IncuKit will not turn off. And the fan in the IncuKit is designed to run constantly, even when the heater is turned off so that circulation continues regardless of the heater so it maintains a more constant temperature throughout the incubator.

Is there supposed to be a hole somewhere for proper ventilation? I know there should be ventilation for Still air incubators so the gases from the eggs can be released and oxygen can be provided to the eggs. Does that go for forced air incubators too?

Awesome video! I have that thermostat by itself and I'm trying to figure out how to wire it up with my fan and FlexWatt heat tape for my homemade incubator, but the directions are confusing and I found myself connecting 5 different wires in the same spot (i messed up) Could you help me with this please??

This is not an incubator. It is a kit that allows you to build you own incubator. The capacity of the incubator you build is up to you.
