Technically, humans ARE primates. "Primate" does NOT specifically mean monkey, even though monkeys are primates. Archbishops are also primates, literally in Church hierarchy. MVP is shorthand for Most Valuable Person. Was this a slip of the tongue, a forgetting of the word "Person"? Or was she using the word in its meaning of Primacy = First Place? All these are possible and the "monkey" interpretation could be someone deliberately LOOKING for an insult when the opposite was intended. The point is YOU DON'T KNOW! Different generations have seen words change their meaning. Isa Guha belongs to a period where the word Primate did not mean as is being interpreted. For instance, to me India got hammered in the first innings by Australia in the ongoing Brisbane Test. Wtf did I just watch? 9:38 mins news report for this? Any cricket follower would know she did not mean any harm and it was a genuine mistake. Her apology was about 2mins, the alleged mistake was a for few seconds.. and here you are trying to blow it up out of proportions with a 10min coverage.
