What length would you recommend for a 26in bass drum with a 24in ride?
@dzjc013 жыл бұрын
While I appreciate the design and functionality of the cymbal arm, it gives me horrible memories of a kit I had in the 60s with a cymbal arm that attached to the bass drum. It was constantly falling over during a gig and I can never go back to this type of mount (your excellent design notwithstanding!).
@weschilton3 жыл бұрын
I seriously don't think this cymbal arm will suffer from that problem, as long as you are not putting an extremely heavy cymbal on there and wailing on it with 2Bs!

Is there an option if the bass drum has a single screw lug mount? Just remove one of the mounting screws?
@IndependentDrumLab3 ай бұрын
@@bshaboogie I would not recommend mounting a cymbal arm with a single bolt.

the metal washer of this mount (internally in the bass drum), does not follow the curve of the skin!
@leeasbury72733 жыл бұрын
Just tighten it...but don't overnighten, ANYTHING, actually. Don't overnighten anything, ever. But, watching the video, I see the washers are a little larger. So, the flat washer will start to touch on each end along the curve of the drum while you tighten. Once it starts to get snug, I imagine the washer will probably start to slightly bend, and the tightness of the the screw and nut (coming at the washer from each side) will kinda form itself (bend) somewhat around the inner drum...but remember, don't keep tightening it until it embeds itself ¼" deep into a nice drum shell. Hope it helps. The washer is probably a little softer and will curve as it needs to. Just don't overnighten anything.

Looks like the Ludwig logo. Are y'all trying to be the new Ludwig? (:

I think he worked there. All the Atlas stuff preceeds all of these ideas. Not saying it was stolen, just a lot of similarities. I have an inde throw off, that i put on a, you guessed it, a ludwig drum. No experience with the mounts, but in all the videos they seem pretty floppy.
@triboluminiscencia_ Жыл бұрын
@@randywiedmer4656 He was involved with the design of the Atlas hardware so in a way these are an evolution on the concept.
