*Brian McCaskill i swear some people don't understand the movies they watch. Polpiv4tifish is right. Robert sensed what was coming. He recognized that even if Demi stayed with him, their relationship would never achieve the intensity she had with Woody. Realizing that she longs to return to her husband, Robert makes up a story that she was only the latest in a long line of "million-dollar girls". Demi understands that Robert is only doing this to make it easy for her to leave albeit Robert really having feelings for her.*

Polpiv4tifish this is a story about true love and how that is worth more than any amount. This film runs deep. David comes to terms with Diana being with John and accepts it - that’s something you can only do when you truly love someone. The way the film ends with Diana and David touching hands still shows that despite what has happened between them they are truly destined to be together and that their love is unbreakable. And therein lies the rub; true love is a real treasure that is of the highest value which lasts forever

@@SamRichardson1990 Like I said you fall at the first hurdle. You said "Doesn't exist any more when it clearly does." As for future "beings" I think that exemplifies everything about your attitude. Seems to me a whole lot more like nobody in their right mind would want to marry someone who labels themselves as a "being" so your future is likely to be lonely and have little of consequence in it.

This movie feels like a contemporary fairy tale.

Oprah did a show based on this movie. Somebody mentioned it might also depend on who the billionaire is. At that moment someone yelled out "What if it's Ross Perot?"

0:14- 0:24... Your mental health will be so screwed up if a rich person was to show you all the people that he has bought and own like John says in this scene..Thank God for being ahead of your life because folks today will show you that they're being handled..The devil wants you to think that they won't stop at nothing but in reality they have contracts ,drugs etc... Demi Moore didn't ask any questions like he was joking because he's rich. Good movie❤ God bless them all😊

Had it been Robert Redford when he was in "The Way We Were", she would have replied "this one's pro bono."

Not even in the 1990s could $1 million provide you with a lifetime of security. Not even in the 1980s.

Redford has some extra bit of class than Brad Pitt.

Just did the math, accounting for inflation and conversion that’s approx $3M CAD. You buy some property and use it as rental income or buy stocks and receive dividend income that money can definitely last a lifetime

I have always said and will always say because it will ALWAYS be true : We all have a price. Try to get yourself out of that thinking with any excuse you want. But it's true for all of us. And it always will be.

The guilt, the remorse, the shame would last an eternity far more than the million would. Then again if you don't have these emotions, you're just not human!

I’d look at my bank account and not worry about any of those emotions.
@pikenova484 ай бұрын
@@Tammy8823 Of course, you wouldn't have any worries after looking at your bank account because you live in a highly competitive, high-pressure society where most people live from paycheck to paycheck, and every day, you're one step closer to being homeless if you can't afford to pay your bills. So, today, shamelessness, guilt, and regrets are feelings and emotions you read about in a novel of a bygone era.
