In the underground a lot of artist knew each other. Even without the internet (as it is), people made connections through being at certain spots, trhough even communicating with graffiti on walls. Its now about importance. Most people dont care about these people now (but for the whole run the jewels generic sect). Only a few. Like it always is and will be with certain sincere art. I lived all the way in Amsterdam and I knew how epic these cats were..so stop the generic cliché American drama comments please ;)

The amount of talent present here is fucking ridiculous. Everyone that spits, destroys and is the epitome of the "underground" scene at that time. For anyone that wants to know what that raw NY MC shit is, look no further. Why I love EL so much is because he still oozes that vibe to this day in everything he touches. Brewin man........LOVE me some Breezly Brewin........ his voice and flow are the illest.

@King Leopold It is relating the artist's ability and confidence on the microphone, the aura they bring with them, their 'presence' to the presence of the number of supposed people that would be existing in a classroom filled with Schizophrenics. Schizophrenics hear voices in their heads, so not only is there the actual people themselves in the room, there are all the voices every single one of them hears as well. So the artist is saying his presence on the microphone is more than that of all of the hundreds of voices of those people in the classroom. It is considered a great line because it combines all of that into a single sentence.

Where I'm from (down south) nobody has heard of any of these guys in the slightest.
