I think about this scene a lot. Even though she was warned by Jasmine, her good friend who was only looking out for her best interest, Tiffany still decided to go on the rooftop. It's extremely difficult to change someone's mind, especially if it seems like the wrong decision for them. Human nature and our primitive brains still allow us to do idiotic things; once someone's mind is made up, and has convinced themselves it's the right thing for themselves, a majority of the time they will eventually end up going through with it, no matter what advice is given to them to the contrary.
