This was good and needed. I know as a wife and mom I always seem to feel I lose my independence. One thing I took from this is also making sure we have a vision for our marriage.

I like this..."He has to be the best him in other for him to be the best husband for her". When we allow our spouses be the best of them as individuals, they will be able to be the best husband/wife to us.

This is a great example. I have had this problem within our marriage for years. We are both ministers. I support his efforts and will do whatever needs to be done for things to go well with things or stuff needed for the department he oversee in ministry. When it comes to me just doing the weekly things needed for department I oversee it becomes now a negotiation if I can go do things for the ministry. I took a full time position to assist in the finances and make sure we are covered but It’s now even more frustrating.

This video is very timely as I have recently discovered how important my independence is in my marriage. My husband takes it very personally when I need to have some "me time" I will be sending this video to him. Thanks for sharing, eloquently put and fair conversation.

I throughly enjoyed this short video about independence. My husband and I are both retired so many of our days are together all day. although this is not new we have been retired together 5 years but finding me time has been difficult.

I’m in a relationship with someone I love dearly and are totally 💯 in love with that person, and we are so attracted to each other’s independence. This just clarifies this from your message. Thank you 🙏 very much.

Must communicate with each other. No talk - no relationship. Happens, too, when one doesn’t feel the other ‘hears’ you.

So appreciate your candor and this video! I'm a strong personality and my husband is much more easy going. We married when I had been single for over 20 years (This is my first and only marriage). It's definitely an adjustment that we are still working on. Letting the other know you really are for them and they are the most important person in your life has been huge for us. We've also had to (Me more so) really work on sharing our schedules however putting the other first. Please keep these transparent videos coming!!

This is great information 💁‍♀️ and I love 💘 my space but just getting married I want to spend all my time with my husband Maybe after years of being together I guess it is a rest period to spend time doing things separate. But I don't think I would get tired of his company
