In this episode Scott welcomes Sweden's Dr. Anders Tegnell, physician and epidemiologist who was the state epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency of Sweden for a special conversation in front of a live audience in Zurich for the Global Liberty Institute's International Rising Leader Summit. They discuss Sweden's response during the COVID pandemic basing Sweden's strategy around maintaining an open society with voluntary guidelines instead of lockdowns, mandates, and school closures. Since then, the world's data proves that Sweden's response was correct with the smallest rise in excess mortality of all developed nations and avoiding severe harms particularly to children found especially in the United States.
Dr. Scott Atlas is a world-renowned expert in health care policy and frequent policy advisor to policymakers and government officials. He investigates the role of government and the private sector in health care quality and access, global trends in health care innovation, and the key economic and civil liberty issues related to health policy. The Independent features Dr. Atlas in conversation with high profile, news-making guests around public health policy, science, civil liberties, censorship and free speech, higher education, the media, and more.

A very impressive man, I think most Swedes hold Anders Tegnell in very high regard. He and his colleagues must have kept their head cool. When most of the world thought that Sweden did everything wrong but most of all Sweden didn’t fall in line with WHOs new agenda. I thank mr Tegnell and his colleagues for their impressive service.

I am still all astonishment at Fauci’s outstanding lack of curiosity about data, or even collecting data. He based his fearmongering on yet another faulty computer model, ( the previous bird flu model comes to mind). Meanwhile, the courageous Dr. Jay Battacharya and a team of highly respected scientists were actually doing serological studies to find what the infection fatality rate was. Dr. Fauci not only wrong discredited the studies, but publicly said, “I don’t give a damn about serological studies “. To me that said it all. He should have been fired over that statement alone. Thanks for at least acknowledging how deadly lockdown and loosing one’s job for the working class was. It destroyed my life. I will never recover financially and it has left me as a wage slave doing a brutal soul sucking job for the remainder of my few years left. Thank you Dr. Fauci.

Read his March 2020 article in the New England Journal of medicine. Read carefully. Fauci lied and people died. In the article written for his peers he said it would be only a bad flu. He lied to the world.

Scott was right. He was bringing up studies at the COVID briefings and the press went crazy. I was reading whatever studies I could get my hands and and found some of the same studies. Science took a back seat to politics and hysteria.

Anders Tegnell is my hero. During a window of opportunity in October 2020, I was able to travel from Italy. Direct flights to Stockholm were cancelled, so I flew to Copenhagen and took a ferry across to Sweden. Oh! the air of freedom! No face masks. People in shops and cafés behaving normally, smiling, hugging. They used plenty of hand sanitisers but otherwise just carried on with life

I watched the swedish @folkhalsomyndigheten with Tegnell on the youtube broadcast daily and weekly during the pandemic. So refreshing to watch from Norway. In Norway it was politicians and bureaucrats without any competences that did their fearmongering show. People where fined for having to many people at a party at home, placed in quarantine "hotels". Some municipalities even created their own "border guards" and prohibiting people from traveling into their municipality. I watched a few live stream meetings where a few politicians asked in their municipality meeting about where the fact based risk assessment for school lockdowns where (as the law required this to be done), but the chief medical officer just said it was impossible to do or they had done it but could not share it, and the rest of the politicians allowed them to close down the schools. Nobody is talking about this today, and there have been no consequence for anyone. So we know what we are in for when the next PANDEMIC come.

He did well. Although, whoever was tasked with administrating vaccines in Sweden, clearly did not evaluate the vaccine with other less invasive options. Improving the immune system with other means than a hastily made vaccine, would have saved a lot of people's lives.

Did we know at what tissue temperature did SARS COV2 ? Why ? Because at TWiV Nr 659 at min29 german virologist Christian Drosten indicate that to replicate SARS COV2 on different tissues must decrease incubator temperature.

Yes, we were allowed to roam free in Sweden, thanks to AT. However, the elderly and other special needs groups in care homes were denied their basic liberties: The elderly were denied oxygen and/or hospital care and instead more or less euthanised in accordance with central guidelines. Young persons in assisted living were coerced to have the experimental "vaccines", as were care home staff who wanted to keep their jobs. There was great emphasis from Swedish state and other msm media on scaring the Swedish public, but perhaps not enough legal room or resources to police stricter measures. (What many of us wonder is how Americans with their strong libertarian constitution could be bullied into submission to their arbitrary "pandemic" measures.)
